I’ve been using Orchid for a month or two now. Aside from the consistent care weekly with mowing of my lawn, Armando has been helpful in setting up my timer when needed, replacing a valve timely, and doing a wonderful full service clean up of weeds, branches and such in my back yard and a great cleanup of my drought tolerant front yard when requested. The crew was great at coming in getting the job done when requested, and left with everything cleaned up. Price is a little more then a single person weekly mow and blow, but it gives me great confidence that all of my lawn care needs can be addressed with Orchid.

2/5/25 - Addendum: the service was great with weekly lawn services; mow and blow for my lawn in my back yard. I had inquired in the beginning about taking care of my front drought tolerant area. It was a newly installed landscape in lieu of a regular grass lawn, and wanted an expert who was experienced with drought tolerant yards. When plants need to be trimmed, when weeds appear, when watering times should and shouldn’t be, etc.. I Was assured that was possible by Orchid when we met in person and my yard was evaluated. But, as the weeks went on, I found that I had to initiate communication about the care there. It was not automatically being looked after weekly. Maybe miscommunication? But was referred products to take care of Bermuda grass and weeds. That I did on my own. (Purchasing of products and application) Not Orchid. I had to ask if they could do something with the weeds and Bermuda grass. Without them saying something on regular visits as the weeds and Bermuda grass were evidentially getting out of control. Then they said they could. My thought was this was going to be part of the service in some way from the beginning without my prompting. Which did not include product for the weeds and Bermuda grass. They would come and pull them, but was still left for me to apply the products required for prevention. Recommendations were given for the products. But not offered to do themselves. I needed a service to be proactive with its care for the front, and just found I was always prompting often with questions for the care. The plants became overgrown, and the ones I asked to be trimmed were cut with hedge trimmers down to nubs. Some plants did die. And never any notification. Ones that needed trimming, weren’t, then was too late seasonally when I asked about it. I wasn’t sure why this hadn’t been done, as they were the experts, and was relying on them based on our initial meeting. I had to look up many of these processes on my own and ask. Not sure what reasons, but the care wasn’t automatically looked after weekly when the team would come to mow, unless I asked. Multiple drip lines had been severed, that was evident after one of their front yard services from the weed tools they used. It was another landscaper that noticed this issue and fixed it, not orchid. Again. Miscommunication? It took quite a few hours to get the front back to an esthetically ok appearance by a different service. I would recommend that you have clear and concise communication about expectations if it’s beyond mowing and blowing. They did run over a hose in my back yard from mowing, and not checking; that I had to replace on my own, with no mention this had happened. Branches were left that fell without them automatically asking to cut them, or just taking initiative and doing it. Which I was use to from a service I had in the past. I had to ask. The only reason I had switched from the service I had for 17 years to Orchid, was my other lawn service wasn’t confident in the care of the new drought tolerant front yard. Otherwise I was very happy with that person. And why I hired Orchid, when I asked, they said they could do it. It just wasn’t as personalized care as I needed for my lawn.

Thanks to Orchid Lawn Care, my yard looks great!! I have been a customer for a couple years, getting regular front and back yard maintenance. I like the easy customer portal and how I get reliable messages letting me know when the crew is scheduled to complete each service date.

Earlier this week, I needed a special cleanup to cut back the bushes and extra growth on the trees because we were having some photos taken at the house. As usual, I got a prompt response to my request.

Armando was able to revise our schedule to get the crew out on the perfect day and do a full cleanup. Our yard looks so amazing for Spring and the back yard looks so much bigger with a fresh cut!! So happy!!

I've used Orchid Lawn Care twice now. Both times they did excellent work. Everything requested was done and the plants I wanted untouched were. I am amazed how thorough their work was. The cleanup was impeccable. And all my interactions with them have been friendly and respectful. I love my yard and working in it, but I can't always keep up. When I can't, it helps tremendously to have people who understand and respect me doing the work. I don't bother with businesses that don't respect me and my home. So I'll call Orchid Lawn Care when I need help again.
