I've always loved shopping at this store. Good quality products. Pricey but I have no problem paying the price for good quality. Went into this store a couple days ago to do some early Xmas shopping. As I shopped I was approached nicely if I needed helped. I politely responded I was just looking. Well during my time in the store I was approached several times ( more than 5). I was followed around the store by 2 different employees like I was going to steal something. I than decided on a few items and again was approached 3-4 more times asking if I wanted to put my things at the register. At this point, feeling like I was not trusted, I was done. I wasn't dressed up. Just some old comfy sweatpants and hoodie. I went to the register to pay and now had to stand there for over 5 mins waiting for the 3 employees to acknowledge I was even standing there, that were not doing anything. I get that stores are high risk for theft but you should not follow someone around thinking they may steal something and then not acknowledge them when they are ready to use their money to pay. To the store manager that reads this.....if it wasn't for people like me shopping in store, y'all wouldn't have a job. Train your employees to respect someone when they are just looking and observe them from a distance. Don't shadow them like they are a criminal. I worked hard for 35 years and my money is no different then anyone else's. I almost walked out but I like William Sonoma products and like to shop in store for the employees job security. I will think twice before I step foot in this store again. When it closes down you will think twice about how customers are treated.

Completely relate to Ms. Otto's review below. The climate of this store has changed for the worse. I have been shopping at Williams Sonoma for decades. I've spent a lot of money at this store fully stocking multiple kitchens, purchasing gifts for family and friends, teachers, housewarmings, weddings. It's one of my favorite places to shop.

I have never had a negative experience before my two encounters with Marie the manager for the night. First interaction with her a few weeks ago I asked if they had the Le Creuset chefs oven in store. She proceeded to correct my pronunciation of "Le Creuset", incorrectly by the way. Then told me there isn't a "chefs oven", just the Dutch ovens. I had to politely tell her that yes there is a chefs oven that Le Creuset makes. She was able to find the chefs oven and I purchased it. This was my 3rd chefs oven purchase within the past month. They are on sale for a great price and I am gifting two for Christmas to friends.

I bought a regular 7 quart Dutch oven online and it came later than I needed (too late to cancel the order) so I went into the store to return it. Unfortunately this is now my second negative encounter with Marie. I gave her the printout of my email order. I explained to her that I had bought several chefs ovens and didn't need the Dutch one. She looked in the box which was fine because you never know what condition returns will be. Then she looked in it a second time, took out the lid, the cardboard. Looked at my receipt several times which only had two items on it. She is not saying anything to me so I point out that I'm returning the Dutch and not the chefs oven. She completely ignores me and opens up the box a third time. Then she just stares at her computer screen, looking up and down. I am feeling like she thinks I'm pulling a scam, so irritated but I have enough class not to cause a scene. Again, zero dialogue. She walks away for a minute or two comes back with 2 sheets of 8 1/2 x 11 paper and just hands it to me. Says nothing. I haven't signed anything or presented my credit card.I ask her "So, is this going back to my card?" She responds smugly "It's going back to the card it was charged on." Unbelievable.

This Marie is who Williams Sonoma has "managing" this store? No wonder why the employees are following around customers now. She's setting the tone. She showed such contempt and degrading behavior towards me. Yes, I wasn't dressed to the nines, carrying my Prada bag on my arm but that doesn't give you the right to treat me like a criminal. You're in retail. If you don't like customers find another job but don't punish me because retail theft is out of control.

I called the store to speak with a manager and lucky me Marie answered. I asked her if she was wearing glasses had short brown hair and a plaid scarf on. Typical Marie fashion she corrects me " I have auburn hair". Get her away from the customers!

The store has really nice things. But, every single time I go there, the item(s) I want to purchase are out of stock. I have never been able to buy something here and walk out with it.
Their stocking issues have been happening for many years now. Pre-Covid and before National supply chain issues.
I suspect they don’t stock much merchandise by design, and choose to operate more like a catalog.
They are always happy to order the items for me. But, I could have done that myself from home.

We are visiting family in Sacramento and I was “volunteered” to make a cheesecake for a family get together. Apple Maps led us to this Williams-Sonoma, and I could not be happier. Jasmine did a wonderful job and really went the extra mile to make sure we found everything we needed. She was pleasant and attentive. We will definitely be back. Give Jasmine a raise, she deserves it.

Rarely do I give five stars, but this Williams_Sonoma deserves it because of the General Manager Yasmine who made the decision to do the right thing.
I bought the W-S Professional Ceramic Nonstick pans at the beginning of this year. They are not nonstick they are stick pans. I hoped they would get better but they never did.
I called the W-S warranty office, they said I'd have to go to the store for help, they can help only with on-line purchases, which made no sense, but OK.
At the store it was explained to me that stores don't cover the warranties and have a 30 day return policy, so the guy on the phone gave the wrong information.
Rather than make me go back to a call with the W-S warranty people who were no help, Yasmine made the decision to do what's right for the customer and exchanged the stick pans for another brand of the same price.
Hopefully all W-S stores are as customer orientated as this one in Sacramento where Yasmine works. Thanks.
