After being single for a few years, I married the love of my life, and we combined houses. Being middle aged, we both had our own things. We quickly realized we weren’t going to be able to make things “mesh”. So, we called Mara. I’m a contractor and haven’t had great experiences with interior designers. My wife knew Mara; so, we gave her free rein and left. I don’t know what I expected other than a huge bill.
I remember coming home and being apprehensively excited. When we walked into our great room, neither of us could believe what she had accomplished. Mara combined our things and made our house our home. As a single guy, I had things that I was sure wouldn’t make the cut. Somehow she integrated our sentimental things, and it worked— in the best way imaginable. I had no idea how she would combine our things. I do know she greatly exceeded any expectations I may have had. She is quick, efficient, listens to what you think you want, and when you leave, she must wave her magic wand. She did this to every room she touched. Aside from a few small necessary items, she used our things. We were and are overjoyed with her work. I still turn the corner to our great room and am in awe of what she did.
I couldn’t have a stronger recommendation for Mara.
Remember the huge bill I was expecting? I never got it. I got a very reasonable bill that was more than fair-especially considering the value we received.
