Juan is amazing and a true artist. I have a 1967 Dutch Bramin chair that I traded for when I was a teenager and I have loved ever since. This chair was in dire need of help. I brought it to Juan and he really seemed to love it too, as it has interesting lines and shape. He took really really good care of this and treated it as if it were his own. Can't say enough about this place. Truly recommend it to bring new life into your furniture. Check out the before and after pics. Amazing!

Trust Juan with your upholstery projects! I'm sure glad we did when taking our old chair in for a redo. We were leaning towards a leather initially, and Juan helped us feel confident in our choice.... as he said, "fabric would look really nice, but leather will be amazing." He was absolutely right!
His detail work is impeccable, a true artist! After receiving delivery of our chair and ottoman, we sat and just admired it for most of the afternoon. Not only was the chair reupholstered beautifully and the quality of the leather exceptional, but he also made several repairs to the chair including old springs that had some broken parts, as well as cleaning up the exposed wooden feet.
It really makes both my wife and I happy to have this done so well, and will enjoy it for many more years! He also provided us with many pictures of the entire process, which is quite extensive!

I just can't wait to give Juan a five star review. He finished the job long before I expected and made my old Ethan Allen chairs even more Ethan Allen look! He even made two extra pillows for me for the holidays. Very professional work done and I just can't wait to go back to reupholster my other furnitures!

I was desperate to find a cover for the Hope Chest gifted to me by my grandmother. I did not want to alter the chest from its original state, but wanted to update it so that it would match my daughter's room décor. I contacted upholstery seamstresses on Etsy, seamstresses that I know personally, and no one would take on this project explaining that it was too difficult and the fabric I wanted would be much too hard to work with. I contacted Juan who was very quick to review my pictures and had a quote back to me the same day. When it came time to bring the chest to American's Upholstery my GPS took me to the other side of Sacramento, and when I called Juan he told me not to worry, that he would wait for me even though it meant I would be there 30 minutes after closing. Upon arrival, Juan and his wife were incredibly friendly and patient as I went through their array of fabric catalogs and attended to my four year old. I described to Juan the design I wanted, and I could not be more impressed with how he brought my vision to life. He added the ability to lift the front of the cover so that the chest can be opened without having t remove the cover, and he also added the straps to the lid so that the cover stays tight and securely in place. Juan is a master of his trade, and I am so thankful that I was able to work with him. Both of my daughters love to sit and read by the window, and love the comfy fabric. Thank you Juan and America's Upholstery, your work is superb.

Juan is a true craftsman and also a genuine nice person. He reupholstered my outdoor cushions that weren't Sunbrella fabric and had rotted. He replaced the fabric with a Sunbrella fabric, added zippers and buttons-the cushions are like brand new now, only better!
I recommend Juan with no hesitation.

This is the first time I had anything re-upholstered, so I did my due diligence and googled internet reviews for this service in my area. After speaking with 3 different upholstery shops, I felt most comfortable with Juan, owner of America's Upholstery. I took a section of my sofa to him that needed new foam. He not only fixed it, but upgraded the foam and cleaned the fabric to a point that it was nearly new. And it only took a week, which was exactly the timeline promised. I highly recommend this place.
