I've been working with Stephanie on a whole-house renovation for the past year. She takes the time to figure out what you want, then offers a number of options, along with her recommendations for which would be the most well-suited. Stephanie has a great design eye and lots of great resources both "to the trade" and retail. She is very sensitive to budget issues as well. She has given me basically a new house in terms of modernizing and freshening up every room in the house while at the same time retaining its character. But the best part about working with Stephanie is that she's a delightful person and really easy to work with.

I can’t say enough about what a wonderful experience we had with Andrew and Stephanie. We did a bathroom remodel, down to the studs basically. Stephanie immediately understood my taste and priorities. I wanted someone to oversee the project and to hire the contractor and subs and Avco did exactly that. I Never had to worry about anything. They are great communicators, very professional, very easy to work with. It couldn’t have gone more smoothly. Highly recommend!

I had the best experience working with Stephanie! This was my first time working with an interior designer and it couldn't have gone better. Stephanie was able to visualize solutions for our home that I would have never thought of. We needed help to make our home feel like it's ours and not just a place we just moved into. She proposed a few ideas of what the place (living room, dining room, master) could look like, came up with the furniture, paint colors, new décor pieces, a lighting plan and light fixtures and all of that was put together keeping in mind functionality, cost, style, budget, and the fact that we have two toddlers. For me it was important to reuse a few furniture pieces we already had, and she was able to work with them and mix with the new pieces we purchased per her recommendations. Her best idea was about making openings in our walls. It came in a late evening email and was the best floor plan-flow decision! It made everything a hundred times better and I can't imagine our place without it. I couldn't recommend Stephanie enough. She is highly professional, a great listener, very patient and is just a wonderful person!

Stephanie of AVCO Design was a dream to work with! We had a reasonably small project, working to reconfigure our main living space. Stephanie immediately came up with a layout + furniture plan that worked for us, sourced many of the pieces, and had helpful advice on where we could save vs. which items to really invest in. She really "got" our style and found several incredible pieces that give the space a lively charm we just adore. Professional, great communicator, lovely person -- can't recommend her enough!

I brought Stephanie along on my design journey when my husband and I were about 80% done with our new house build, but I wish I had her at the very beginning. Whether sourcing things for me (ie a stunning chandelier, a couple sleek fans, a giant piece of art, custom-sized to perfection and hung above my mantle), sending me to-scale renderings of various furniture layouts, or simply approving or rejecting things that I had found independently, having Stephanie felt like having the answer key. She saved me from making expensive mistakes and helped me pull together a house that’s functional and beautiful. And although she helped me in a limited capacity (as I mentioned, we were mostly done with our build when I met her), I’ve seen the magic she can conjure when given earlier access in the creative process. My mom and stepdad remodeled their house after gutting it of smoke damage inflicted by the 2019 Kincaid fire, and Stephanie provided construction drawings for some architectural changes that transformed how we use the house. The house is richly textured, cohesive, gorgeous…and is a true reflection of my mom and stepdad. Highly recommend working with Stephanie in any capacity and I look forward to working with her next time we build a house.
