B New Restoration did a wonderful job refinishing my large mahogany dining table. Their business style is direct and professional. I knew exactly how much it would cost, when they would pick it up, and how long the job would take. I highly recommend them and will use their services in the future.

My mother had an heirloom chair and stool redone here as a gift for me with the birth of my daughter. The wood was taken care of beautifully! That really is gorgeous! I'd gladly give the wood refinishing alone 4 stars. And, reportedly the man who did that job was incredibly sweet, even praying with my family for me and my daughter before her birth. I so wish the rest of our experience matched that. Unfortunately, it's the complete opposite.

The upholstery was very poorly done, even carelessly, clearly by a novice and in a rush. It's incomplete, messy, and done without care. The fabric itself could be lovely (it's comfortable and a great color and texture so I'm happy with that choice) but the sewing isn't even complete with holes on the sides, maybe even glue in some places and really just needs to be completely redone to match the quality of the original piece. According to my mom, they also replaced the actual cushions with a light foam that doesn't match the quality of the original furniture and it doesn't sit well on the chair because it's not as sturdy as it should to support weight, and the fabric isn't protected by the metal base of the glider since they put nothing under it. My mother was really disappointed in the upholstery which needs to be redone while I found it passable because the color was what I wanted and I'm just so grateful to have my grandmother's chair. Still, the poor job done in my mom's eyes is so hurtful given she trusted them with such an important heirloom. I'm so angry at how they ripped her off and thus disrespected her and my grandmother. How dare you, B New! In fact, they even attached the stool cushion with Velcro instead of the original beautiful snaps. It was lazy and to be honest, I probably could have done a better job after watching a few Youtube videos and taking my time. When I can, I'll take it to a proven upholstery professional to honor my grandmother and my mom's wishes. Thankfully, the wood should stay as nice as it is.

Finally, and this really seals the deal on the one star review... my mom had requested they return the original fabric as it has great sentimental value and they promised they would. They didn't. My mom reached out multiple times to get her property back and they ignored her communication. I can't believe how poorly they've treated her in choosing to blatantly ignore her. I have reached out several times and I have also been ignored. I believe they lost or disposed of the fabric and do not want to deal with the consequences of the broken promise. That is incredibly sad and reflects terribly on them. They are not trustworthy. Period. Unfortunately, you'll find several other reviews on Yelp and here that report the same issue with specifically upholstery and them loosing, stealing, or disposing of property like our original fabric.

If you have wood that needs cleaned up, this is a good place to go! Seriously, the wood is gorgeous. However, take any fabric, cushioning, and any heirloom places elsewhere because the upholstery is shoddy and they're generally untrustworthy. They should stick to wood which they're good at and leave upholstery to professionals.

Please, B New, return our fabric and give our family a refund on the upholstery and I'll make sure this review positively reflects that effort.

They refinished my mothers table from the 1800’s due to it being misused by a family member. They did an amazing job and made it look like a brand new table. They responded to all my check ins and questions quickly. It did take them a long time to get the job done because of the damage to the table but in the end the results were well worth the wait. Byron is a super nice guy and goes above and beyond for his clients.

This is definitely not the place to get your furniture restored. He picked my furniture up in August and told me it would take 4-6 weeks. I contacted him in October and November and all I got was excuses. He finally contacted me Christmas Eve wanting to deliver that day. I told him I was unavailable and he wanted to know if I could pay and they deliver later cause he needed to pay his workers. Good thing I didn’t fall for that. When I did get my furniture back it looked like a 5 year old had worked on it.

Byron and his crew refinished a complete bedroom suite for me recently and they did a beautiful job!

I have this walnut bedroom suite that my grandparents bought back in the early 1940’s.
During the snow storm of February 2021, I had a water line upstairs break and it flooded this bedroom. I thought the furniture was ruined.

Due to the meticulous work of Byron and everyone at B-New, it looks Great!!
