If only we had discovered Barnyard Specialties earlier on in our project! We commissioned them to build our custom grill bench. Micah & the team listened to our needs, were very clear with their communication and their attention to detail is rare to find. They truly care about the relationships they are building and took the time to make sure we were completely happy with the result.

Micah and the team are awesome! I reached out to have them give me a quote to manually move a 1000+ lbs boulder from the front of my house, through a small side yard, and place/position it under a tree in my backyard. My side yard was too narrow for a skid steer to be used, so the team had to coordinate manually moving the boulder. Micah came out 2 weeks before to assess the job and give me a quote. The quote beat out every other quote I received and Micah's explanation of how they would do it and gave me a ton of confidence. On the day of the project, Micah's team showed up punctually, they cared for my home (putting down plywood to protect my pavers even when I said I didn't mind if they got scuffed up), and were extremely patient with me as we adjusted the boulder into the specific place and orientation we wanted. Afterward, Micah and the crew offered to get rid of the pallets the stone had been sitting on for me (otherwise, who knows how long they would have been taking up space on my side yard). They also hosed down and cleaned off the front of my house without even saying anything -- these guys just go above and beyond.

I am planning on re-landscaping my upper yard and removing/replacing a tree. I will with out a doubt be using this team. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I first found Ava and Micah over 18 months ago. They came out and looked at my large exterior hardscape and landscape project. They ask the right questions, listened to what I was really hoping to achieve and what I was struggling with in the design process. Their honest, non sales pitch type approach was very appealing to me. At first, I hired Ava to mock up the entire project so Micah could bid it. Ava did an exceptional job, was patient and listened to my feedback when it came to edits. When the bid came in we knew it was not in our budget at that time. Ava and Micah were professional and suggested ways in which the project could be broken into phases to spread out the financial impact, while still achieving results. We didn’t begin phase one of our project for almost a year after the project was first designed. When I reached out to Ava and Micah about phase one they again demonstrated excellent communication, follow through and professionalism. Phase one of our project was completed on time and with exceptional craftsmanship. The workers treated the outside of our home with respect and cleaned up daily. They did excellent work, were helpful in answering any questions/concerns, showed up on time everyday and we are so pleased with everything. We hope to start phase two this summer and look forward to working with Ava, Micah and the Barnyard crew to bring more of our vision to a reality. Thank you for being honest, returning and answering calls, hiring quality employees who are not only skilled at their trade but respectful of the work impacts the homeowners and surrounding neighbors. 10/10 recommend this company!

As someone who is fairly new to the area, and someone with high standards in regards to design and execution, I was grateful to find Micah, Ava and their amazing crew to renovate/ update our side yard for our recently purchased house in Monarch Beach.

I could not imagine working with anyone else!!! We replaced old worn out turf, with beautiful DG and pavers, and mulched zones, they swapped out my irrigation system, and added some beautiful accent lighting. All in all, it transformed our space and hit our budget that we had allocated for this project. We were looking for a modern, Japanese inspired space and that's exactly what we got!

We have an HOA, so that dictated the design process, and Ava was excellent to work with me in the design concept phase. We made changes along the way, and the entire team was responsive, punctual, communicative and a pleasure to work with. The ground crew is EXCEPTIONAL. Micah was there guiding them every step of the way. His team, his equipment and personality made this a very pleasant experience from start to finish. Now we have a beautiful outdoor space to enjoy!
