Becky and her team guided us through a whole house restoration and we could not be more happy with the result! We went from the 80’s to a bright and vibrant modern home! Thoughtful design, quality materials, master craftsman, and elegant finishing touches gave us a home we are proud of!

Start to finish the BRD team was always available with the experience needed to manage a large-scale effort. The team kept track of details, provided insightful ideas, and made available the skills needed for a professional/luxurious result. Needless to say, we highly recommend Becky Robbins Designs!

Becky personally is a nice person. Professionally as a designer just don’t question her judgement or ask questions as a customer. Her personality and business is more for staging vs decorating. Becky and her team are poor at communicating, listening and putting the customer first. She is good at selling herself personally but professionally I’m not impressed. Over priced and doesn’t understand customers needs. If it’s your money then questions and clarifications should allowed to be asked. She walked away from our design because she felt we micromanaged. Becky’s view of micromanaging is asking questions about designs being different from the customers requests in the design. If you don’t ask questions you won’t hurt her design ego and I’m sure she will do a overpriced good job.

We were told we were not a good fit after waiting months for Mrs. Becky and her team to decorate our home. It was interesting that Mrs. Becky emailed this information to us versus a phone call to explain her reasoning. I found this to be rather unprofessional. In the email we were told that I didn’t trust the design project. We found it odd that it’s our home but yet when asked to clarify it was interpreted that we didn’t trust the process.

My husband and I thought long and hard upon receiving her email what did we say that we didn’t trust her design project? What questions were offensive to her? Come to find out if you don't agree or question Becky than you will be told you’re not a good fit. How do I know this? I was in a store and over heard a decorator and client talking. The client was speaking poorly of Becky Robinson Designs and what a horrible experience she had. I was shocked! Then a person in our neighborhood told me a similar story. It made my family feel at ease it wasn’t just us. We had looked so forward to Mrs. Becky decorating our home.

I will also add that it takes days to get a call back with any question that you might have. I found this to be frustrating but went with it. The amount of money that Mrs. Becky charges I would expect one would not have to wait days for communication. You don’t hear from Mrs. Becky only her assistant that takes messages. Again, you have to wait days sometimes weeks for a response. But yet we were told to trust the design process? Come to find out I'm not the only one that holds this opinion. I write this review so others don't have to go through what my family did.

After having a new designer who welcomes questions, shows you the designs picked out and allows you to exchange items is like a breath of fresh air. Just be aware that Mrs. Becky shops at places such as At Home, Amazon, Marshalls and TJ Max. I believe that when she uses accessories from these places her margin for profit is higher for her pocket.

Not to mention we asked for a detailed bill three times. To date we have NO idea what she purchased, how much she paid for items and just took our money. I believe this is not best practice and no way to run a business.

I do not recommend this company as we found so many positive decorators to work with. If you do decide to work with Mrs. Becky, be prepared for…. not knowing what you’re paying for, understanding that she can drop you as a client anytime and communication is weak.

We have worked with BRD multiple times over the years on both large and small projects within our home. Becky has redecorated our living room, dining room and main bedroom, helped with the selections for a new bathroom, added decorative touches to our family room, kitchen, and outdoor living space and has even completed a surprise room makeover for our daughter while we were on vacation. She does a great job of creating comfortable, homey spaces that are very livable. She is down to earth and really easy to work with.
