OMG! This place is amazing! I could have spent a lifetime in there and still would not have seen everything! Such beautiful stock. The staff are phenomenal, knowledgeable, passionate, helpful, honest and just nice people. So glad to have gone here while in town! Worth a trip from seattle to San Francisco just to go here.

fantastic store with. wide variety of fabric and notions (ribbons, elastic, trim, zippers, buttons). if you’re looking for some special elastic, they have it. i happened to go on a day they were having an extra 40% off their sale remnants and i lost my mind. so much good fabric for an amazing deal.

I came here with my Aunt and my Mom, and we got there right before it opened, as soon as they opened Douglas was there to greet us, and he walked us through different fabrics for the project I wanted to do. It was extremely fun to talk to all of the employees, and they all did an amazing job taking care of everybody, the fabrics were the most beautiful I have ever seen, and I can’t wait to work with the ones I bought on a collection for my fashion design class!

Douglas helped us on this occasion. He was joyful, patient, and supportive of mixing and matching fabrics to find the right vibe! He made the experience priceless.

This store is iconic! A must-visit when in SF. It is the place in the Bay Area for quality and unique fabrics, buttons, notions, etc. On top of their great selection, their staff is wonderful and knowledgeable. They answer my many questions and always point me in the right direction or show me something super special that they just got in. I can't recommend Britex enough.

Threads and fabric supermarket; this emporium makes you want to take up knitting ; It’s architecture is wonderful; there should be a store like this in every city ! What about a store focused on buttons?

Expensive but exquisite. Not like the vast New York stores, smaller selection but really really high quality. Douglas is amazing, really knowledgeable and has a great eye. Nice selection of Liberty prints. I was pleasantly surprised by the nudes in diverse shades for all kinds of skin colors (I have a hard time finding non-pink based nudes, but this store has loads that are olive or neutral undertone as well).
