Carpet King has always been very prompt, professional and they do a great job. They have been able to assist us in situations that required little notice or quick turnaround times. They manage to hit the mark every time. Carpet King is our go to company for all of our carpeting needs.

In response to Ellis C’s review, John, you represent your company. When faced with a measurement issue, a standard response is to help convert the measurement to the preferred unit. Instead, you said, and I quote , “in America.. we use feet and inches”. When you referred us to Home Depot, and we came in with the wrong measurement, they responded “we would be happy to help you convert your measurements”.
Please look after your own customer service manner when talking to your customers because. It is a race issue to US because of your wording choice and your tone. If anything, you are “exacerbating this issue” by claiming nothing happened when we were clearly offended by your tone, your language, your attitude, your dismissiveness. Next time, I’d recommend you use Home Depot’s language when someone comes in with the wrong measurement. It was honest mistake on our end to come in with the wrong numbers.

Wish you the best. We would have greatly appreciated for you to have written your response more in align of what actually happened, instead of insinuating YOUR own agenda, John.

As soon as we walked in we said hello and he doesn’t introduce himself. I’m assuming it’s John because of the other reviews but I’m not sure. We wanted to get a estimate and look for a carpet for a small bedroom and we took measurements in millimeters and we told the guy our measurements and he goes rudely and jokingly “this is America where we take measurements in feet and inches.” To preface, I (white female) came with my girlfriend (Filipino) and her dad (Filipino) who has a strong Filipino accent. To say that comment about “in America…” was SO UNNECESSARY. It made the whole conversation very off putting and awkward because he was trying to make a joke but it just came out kind of racist. Then I told my girlfriend to convert the mm to ft or inches on google and the guy goes “yea I know.” Like I wasn’t talking to you but ok….
Anyways this man was very unwelcoming and rude. He did give us a price estimate which was way to expensive so he told us to go to Home Depot. We went to Home Depot and the employees there were happy to help us convert our measurements. All in all I recommend going somewhere else local or even Home Depot to have a better welcoming and nice experience.
