We had a wonderful experience with CM Natural Designs. Corine designed the perfect space for us. We had an unusual footprint and angles, and Corine designed seamlessly around it — maximizing the space and creating great balance and flow. There were, of course, several questions and quick decisions that we needed to make with our contractor, and Corine was there each time to provide direction and help us navigate our choices.

CMNatural Designs designed and guided our 1950s coastal cottage remodel start to finish. We contacted Corine even before engaging an architect because we were so impressed with her portfolio and reviews. After meeting with Corine via video conferencing, we were confident that she could provide the form and function we wanted.

Our lot is small so the square footage we were working with was tight. Yet we wanted to get a lot of functionality out of the space, including adding a powder bath and an indoor laundry area, expanding the kitchen, and turning a small funky bedroom into a complete Accessory Dwelling Unit with its own exterior entry, kitchenette, dining/work from home area and ensuite bathroom. Our expectations were high. Corine exceeded them. She designed the floor plan and all interior elevations, designed cabinetry, selected the furnishings, finishes and decor both big a small. Corine made sure that the end result functioned well, was beautiful, cohesive, seamlessly blended with the original part of the house and fit our personal aesthetic.

In addition to the plans and elevations, Corine provided a spreadsheet that specified all of the furniture and fixtures. The spreadsheet included web links, prices and order and delivery status. These documents turned out to be so essential during construction. The building contractor and subcontractors were able to refer to them to find out things like placement of fixtures, which exact fixtures we were installing, online specs, installation instructions. etc. Without Corine's planning documents, the construction process would have been a confusing fly by the seat of your pants affair. I can’t even imagine undertaking such a project without them.

Everyone who walks into our cottage is immediately blown away especially if they saw the before. Interior design seems to be a blend of technical, executive, communication and artistic abilities. Corine totally nails all of these.

CM Natural Designs. Corine of CM Natural Designs was absolutely wonderful to work with! We hired her to design our kitchen, two bathrooms and living room built in shelves and she had just the best idea for the spaces we have. She honed in on the feel we wanted from each particular room and created a masterpiece that reflected everything we needed and wanted. She was beyond quick to our responses, throughout the entire journey with her. After construction was complete, her attention to detail and eye didn't stop and picked up on a few things that needed to be fixed. She was always in our corner. We're so incredibly proud of what she designed. Not only is she insightful about what works and what doesn't in a space, but she listens and has the most fun loving, delightful personality. Even though we didn't know her prior to hiring her, we consider her a wonderful friend now that we're so lucky to have crossed paths with. Anyone who hires Corine will be better for it.

Our Florida house was decorated over a period of almost nine years and was eclectic – not in a great way. On a whim one evening, I conducted a web search for interior designers and found CM Natural Designs profiled in an article, along with seven others. After reviewing each designer’s portfolio, I selected CM Natural Designs to contact, along with a couple of other designers I found in other articles.

After speaking to Corine via FaceTime, we knew instantly that she was the designer for us. We were apprehensive about spending money on something we historically thought we could tackle with Pinterest. But Corine’s detailed explanation of her design process, her professionalism and effervescence and the strength of her portfolio – varied and clearly brimming with the respective homeowner’s personality – convinced us to make the leap.

From beginning to end, Corine bowled us over with her talent, organizational skills, attention to detail and responsiveness. Even my husband (ever the skeptic) was impressed with her. Her design presentation nailed the vision of what we thought our house could look like. Within one week, we purchased 90% of the items she recommended. Over the next few months, our house was transformed from a mish mosh of accumulated high-end & Home Goods items to a serene retreat that is functional and still feels like our “home.” I often sit in the rooms that she redesigned, soaking in the touches. She doesn’t “push” her preferences – she really listens and translates your preferences into a beautiful, cohesive design.

The fact that she is based in CA, and we are based in FL presented zero issues. The initial style study was conducted through FaceTime. Communication was handled primarily through email and text, with the ad hoc call, if needed. Corine and her amazing studio manager, Jenny, were on top of every detail.

After completing four rooms with Corine, we engaged her to redesign our master bedroom, which was just recently installed. We will have her redesign our master bathroom & powder room, as well – I’ll be upset when we run out of rooms for her to redo.

We joke that Corine is not only our interior designer but our “life coach.” I literally won’t make some purchases without checking in with her, and my husband can be convinced to buy things if I mention that it was her idea.

I have very high standards, but Corine exceeded our expectations. My perspective on interior design has completely changed. If we had invested in this upfront before purchasing our mish mosh of stuff over time, we would have saved money on not having to “fix” things down the road. We can’t recommend Corine and CM Natural Designs enough. Her talent combined with her operational prowess and responsiveness is rare – and she’s a delight to work with. We feel so lucky to have found her!

She is professional, responsive, listens to your wishes, comes up with outside the box ideas. She takes your home to a level that is unimaginable.
