I love this store but I am equally frustrated with it. This is the only hardware store in San Juan but they close at 6:00pm…really? I get home from work and something broke, I have to drive to Lowe’s or Home Depot in San Clemente or Mission Viejo. If you work an 8-5 job out of town you have nothing local until the weekend. Often times if it’s not an emergency I will order off amazon and get it the next day because I can’t get it when I need it. I’m not suggesting the store be open 24hrs but maybe until 8:00pm so working people can still get things they need. I don’t want this store to ever leave but I fear the lack of convenience will eventually kill it, sooner or later a big box company will come in and then it will be left to the hard to find items.
I do love this store, great help and lots of variety, I just wait until the weekend when a project pops up.

As much as this location displays the True Value moniker they are still a mom n' pop local hardware place

The location is quicker and easier than going to HD and there are always plenty of experts walking the aisles to help answer a question. The crew here is super knowledgeable.

I evacuated from the wildfires in Los Angeles and am staying in SJC. I called this store to ask if they could donate any masks for me to distribute to people impacted by the wildfires when I return home. The owner was very rude over the phone, refusing to donate a single mask, which is worth about 50 cents. He promptly hung up on me after saying no. The previous employee I spoke with mentioned that masks were flying off the shelves. This leads me to believe that the owner is far more interested in making a profit than helping the countless people who have lost their every belonging. Please keep this in mind when considering shopping here.

This place is Awesome! I've been building Movie Sets and remodeling homes for nearly 50 years, so HD, Lowe's and Ace Hardware are like my Home away from home... This Store is Amazing! Not only is it immaculately organized, they have stuff that I've never seen before and that you can't find at HD or Lowe's!?! Amazing!

A local institution that is family owned still. Kim gave me excellent service and was very attentive to my needs. He introduced me to the namesake of the business. I highly recommend this place keep the money in the town

Great Service. Helpful but not overbearing. Excellent selection of unique items... garden hose sprayer? 25 of those. Pruners and Shears? 25 of those. Juicers? 8 different options depending on how you want to juice your oranges and citrus. To top it all off they have an ice cream freezer. How can you go wrong. don't forget to check out their great selection of machetes and dangerous looking hand saws.... slightly medieval.
