Last year Sept. 2022, we contracted Bill McIntosh, owner of Duxbury Architects, located in 4630 Soquel Drive, suite # 5, Soquel, CA 95073 to help us with an old delinquent permit and to our amazing surprise he resolved in five days what had been previously unresolvable. We were very happy with his knowledge and professional attitude.

After having this good experience with the Duxbury Macintosh Architects Firm, we contracted Bill to help us replace an elevated deck. He was very good at designing and drawing the deck plans, worked diligently with all five agencies within the County of Santa Cruz, and supervised the construction to ensure the plans were followed by the contractor.

We give Bill McIntosh an excellent rating. His knowledge of the subject, his professionalism and his Communications skills are superb.

Bill redesigned our house in Mountain View last year and was great to work with. We weren't sure at first what exactly we wanted. Bill worked with us on figuring out what we want while respecting our budget, and gave us a design we love. All along he was very responsive, upfront about any issues that might come up, and we really enjoyed working together. We worked with Bill Mcintosh on a project in Mountain View. The location was in the historic neighborhood of Mountain View, so we anticipated that the process for getting approval from the city would be tricky. We interviewed many architects and decided to work with this firm because they claimed that they have experience in this kind of projects. Instead of first checking with the city, they spent months coming up with detailed designs and charging us hourly which summed up to about 15k. When they submitted the plan to the city, it was immediately rejected and they suddenly terminated the contract leaving us with thousands of dollars paid and nothing at hand. Beside this, during the project we found several cosmetic issues and asked for multiple major revisions. I don't recommend them at all.
