Doug Fernandez and his team are fantastic to work with and done a wonderful job on a recent a major remodel for our family. Although in the middle of the project we were hit with the COVID-19 pandemic he and his team was able to keep everyone safe and get our project completed. 1 simple word; AMAZING! Doug and his team are true professionals that are there every step of the way and ensure a quality job is done. Relentless high standards, attention to detail and making sure you feel good about the work they are doing put our minds at ease throughout the entire process of remodeling our kitchen. Even in the wake of tough lock-downs due to Covid restrictions, Doug made sure to constantly stay in contact, let us know what was happening and when we could expect to see progress on our project. The final outcome of our kitchen is something we are very happy with, are proud to show off (through pictures and video at the moment!) and is a testament to the amazing work done. I highly recommend Fernandez Designs & Builders to anyone looking for any type of construction, new or remodel.

We are just starting a fairly major remodel of our home, requiring significant planning, survey work and design/engineering support. We interviewed three different companies that offer the full spectrum of design/engineering and construction services that we need, and selected Fernandez because we value having direct access to the company owner and their senior designer. Their decades of experience was apparent during our initial meetings, and we were able to start the project with a very clear understanding of the process, and what we were committing to.

We are still early in the process (drawings of existing as-built structure and engineering services to assess foundation requirements and perform elevation surveys). So far we are happy with how the work is proceeding and very confident that we made the right choice going with Fernandez.

This is the third time that I hired Doug Fernandez for my home remodeling project, and as usual, working with Doug on any project does not disappoint, & he will put your mind at ease no matter what problems we run into. My first project was huge & in 2007; it was an extensive kitchen/family room/dining room project. I never tire of wanting to be in my home which was custom made for my very small stature. The 14' island is 36 inches high to accommodate my being a shrimp. The kitchen and the island has every bell and whistle I could ever dream about. a custom bake center, entertainment buffet center. My home has been featured in many online home decors. Doug has been a lifesaver on my latest disaster. Large portions of the 38-year-old composite deck covering the entire back of my home fell in & was totally unusable. Doug saved the top of the deck with its newer composite boards and re-built and strengthened the entire infrastructure underneath. His attention to every detail was incredible. I cannot believe how quickly Douglas and his very skilled & talented crew finished everything so that I am able to use the deck within days, meaningful to me, because I have been sheltered-in-place since February, & the deck is where I live when it's not too hot. I cannot thank Doug enough!!!
