The first time I saw the Frederickson Landscape team’s work was on my friend’s front yard in Poway, San Diego. It is so well done and beautiful. I began following their Instagram profile long before I had my own yard because I knew I’d be reaching out one day. In December 2023, I got my chance to reach out and had an exploratory discussion with Ben about what to even expect when it came to landscape/hardscape and design. He was honest about it, and for that I’m thankful because it gave me a foundation to work with when collecting quotes. Our home is a new build and we did not have our move-in date until April 2024. Ben made it a point to keep in contact and to take a look at the property with us prior to moving in so we could get a better idea on pricing, have a design made and get on his schedule all within 3 months (there’s a wait if you want to work with the best! But, it was so worth it.) Ben ended up being the most competitive when comparing price to the whole package (design plan + hardscape + landscape) and was super responsive, answered all my questions and most importantly kept all our ‘wants’ in mind (we needed budget-friendly space perfect for our guests, kids, dog, and bbqing). Compared to some of our other neighbors who hired different companies that took up to 6 weeks to complete, Ben and his team knocked out our project in a total of 4.5 days. We were enjoying our backyard in no time, and WOW it’s beautiful and so very functional we absolutely love it. Every time I go out there we have a ‘pinch me’ moment because it’s a dream. We have received so many compliments and the quality of work, plants, etc speak for itself. We had a small correction made to the turf where it was cut as there was a .5 inch gap that didn’t look seamless. Ben made sure to recognize it (we didn’t point it out to him) and came back within 6 weeks to complete. He brought a small team to correct it (took about 1/2 a day) and it is perfectly seamless now. We just want to give our thanks to this whole team for all that they do because they work very hard, are honest, friendly, do great work and clearly have the experience and creativity that other companies lack. Money well spent. I would use Frederickson’s design 100x’s over and will recommend all my friends and family to use them too. THANK YOU!

What can I say about Ben and his team? Fantastic, responsive, professional, and creative are a few things that come to mind. My wife ran across Fredrickson Landscaping on IG and said if we could get them to do our landscaping that we have been literally languishing over for two years she said she would just let him do it no questions asked.

I took that as a challenge and got Ben out to look at the project. I got the quote the next day, signed and accepted. They put me into the schedule which was two months out since they are so busy. They then said we have an earlier opening which was about a month sooner and they were out.

The did a fantastic job. My wife loves it. They even found the perfect tree as you can see in the photo. Been took days to find this sending us pictures of options until he came up with the perfect match.

They installed lighting (no idea how he was able to run that wiring to all my locations) sprinklers, plants, ground cover, rocks. They did it all and they did it right, clean and fast.

Men... Let me just tell you, you know how your wife is saying I need something here, I cant explain it but when I see or hear it Ill know it? We stand there like what the heck are you saying? Ben knows what she is saying and even better HE KNOWS THE ANSWER.

Ben is that guy, Fredrickson is that company that you have been looking for. Great service, Great price, Great Guy, Great Product.

Ben refreshed the beautiful succulent garden that he installed originally in a thoughtful, creative and elegant manner. He and his crew made additions to the design and materials to make it new again!! This is a perfect space to hang out in, have guests over and the cost was super reasonable. Thank you Ben for your expertise and efficiency. May your job be big or small, you will love, love his designs!!!

I found Fredrickson Landscape on Instagram and was immediately taken with the work of Ben and his team. Everything they touch turns to landscaping goals. When I realized that they were actually based in North County and I could hire them, I immediately sent an email. The experience was everything I hoped it would be, from the first email to the first call to the first visit to the collaborative process to the moment the project was finished. As new homeowners, my husband and I were intimidated by completely overhauling our front yard ourselves, which had been dead grass since we moved in a few years ago. We knew landscaping would be the biggest transformation and decided to invest in it. Amazingly, our yard was done in just one day. Talk about instant gratification! The before and after photos speak for themselves. Ben is incredibly knowledgable about all things landscaping and his excitement and creativity shines through in how he works with his clients. I loved his "design onsite" approach and how he listened to my requests but also infused his expertise and design into it. He was great to work with, and I would trust him and his team again and again for all my future landscaping needs. I've also already recommended him to friends and family.

You wont find many people more passionate about their job than Ben Fredrickson. Ben was engaged from our first meeting when we started building out the vision for our landscaping project until the final plant was in the ground. We went into this project with a rough idea of what we wanted and Ben made it very easy to bounce ideas around and land on plant material that was within our budget and fit with the style of our home. The demo work was detailed, the install itself was very professional/timely and Ben was involved in every step of the process. The entire crew at Fredrickson Landscape works very hard and was never sitting around. They all seemed to know their roles and kept the project moving along at a fast pace. In the end we were extremely happy with the final product and came in on budget. It was an absolute pleasure working with Ben and his team and I would highly recommend his services to anyone who wants to increase the value of their home at a reasonable cost. We have neighbors stopping us on a weekly basis commenting on the finished project. Ben made our house stand out on the block and for that we are very thankful and appreciative.

10/10, can’t recommend enough. Truly. We live in a boring track home new build neighborhood and everyone is getting their landscaping done by the same few companies leading to all the homes looking even more boring and identical. Not ours!!! All thanks to Ben & his crew! Fave things about working with him: you can talk to him like a real human, he doesn’t BS you, he knows his plants & will teach you how to keep them alive and well, he’s got the dang best eye for modern coastal Mediterranean epicness.
