I was a little disappointed with the West Elm sectional I had originally purchased for my living room because as beautiful as some of their mid century furniture can be, I also think the value you get for what you pay is questionable. Enter Furniture Envy Sofas--a local SF business that a friend of mine had recommended to me after I made complimentary remarks about his couch, which I mistakenly thought had come from Room&Board. So, during one of my frequent visits to the bay, I stopped by the showroom and worked with the ever cheerful and knowledgeable Shirley to design my custom sectional--which now fits the space perfectly! The whole process from design to selecting fabric to delivery was essentially seamless. In just eight weeks, a beautiful, custom made sectional was delivered to me in Seattle--all at a cost that was on par with what I paid for my other West Elm sectional, but this one is larger, more comfortable, and much more durable. Awesome experience working with both Shirley (the owner, female founded) and Snow. I looked into other stores such as seventh Avenue, Joy Bird, six penny, etc along with another shop in the marina that does custom couches. furniture envy had the best pricing as well as most timely shipping. We got our couch within five weeks! I assumed that custom couches were super expensive, but after considering the quality of places like joy Bird and 7th Avenue, you can custom design your couch - everything from the foot base wood, the fabric, the cushion width, height - all of the dimensions, the firmness or softness, AND it was less expensive and arrived more quickly than going through one of the other cookie cutter stores that do not offer the same level of customization. Additionally, the couch is manufactured in LA. highly recommend for furniture envy! we are super satisfied.

Shirley is a dream to work with. Just as important, she has a huge collection of fabrics to chose from, beautiful sofa designs and the quality of the work is impeccable. She made many small adjustments to the design of my two sofas and those instructions came out perfectly. It’s just amazing to have a business that can make your best vision come true.

Visited this store on a recommendation from close friends and so glad we finalized Furniture Envy for our sofa's/couches !
We met Adam - July '22, he gave us a great introduction to their collection, custom options, colors and styles.
We finalized our order in Aug and got these beauties delivered in Nov
They are amazing !, the wood-work is brilliant, cushions are firm just like we like them and the fabric is sublime 🙂

We just had the support of Furniture Envy with designing and building our couch and we couldn't be more thrilled with the outcome! Snow was amazing at helping us figure out dimensions, fabric, softness etc. They were incredibly efficient, no pressure, and just a delight to work with. I couldn't recommend them more highly!
