I was referred to Geiger Electric by our HVAC service, Blankenship, and called right away, since we had a long list of issues in our home relating to electrical.

Matt, the owner, came out quickly to patiently listen to our very long list. I explained what we wanted, and how we wanted it. Some involved adding ceiling lighting. Some involved, problem-solving, light switches. Some involved fixing issues that had been in the home ever since it was built almost 10 years ago.

Matt asked relevant questions, didn't waste time, and within a couple of days produced a specific itemized list showing an estimate for each item we talked about. We decided to move forward with about two-thirds of the items at this time and Matt scheduled the work to be done at a responsive time and in consideration of my work schedule.

Tony arrived on time for our appointment, we reviewed the list together, and he got to work quickly. He finished all of the work in about 7 1/2 hours without distractions.

We've had problems in the past with other businesses crew members who answer their phones, spend more time talking to others, and running off to do another job without finishing ours. In this case, that was not an issue.

Tony was focused, didn't waste time, talked with me about each of the items. He was patient when I changed some details, such as the type of light cast by the bulbs to be installed. He was helpful when I tested all the work.

We were very happy that everything worked the way we wanted by the time he left. And we were happy that the final bill came in about $100 less than estimated.

I know we'll finish all of the items on the list later in the year, and will definitely use Geiger Electric again for that service.

The business side of the service required some clarification, but I found it easy to discuss it and get it corrected. Overall we had an excellent experience, and I recommend Geiger to anyone needing, reliable, professional, and trustworthy service.

Just a note to those looking at the reviews…we almost passed up this business because of the 1-star comments. Consider the info in the 5-star ratings instead. I’m not a friend or family of this biz. I am really grateful that I went with the recommendation of my HVAC company! I found everyone to be professional, realistic and attentive.

This is a very unethical company! We had an electrical issue and they came out to trouble shoot. Their electrician identified the issue and informed us he could temporarily fix the issue. Until they could get back out to complete the work. We asked the cost of the work and he quoted it was $70 an hour, and he wouldn't charge us for the wire because it was a temp fix. We asked if it would cost over $500 to fully fix the problem because my wife's father could fix it if it was, he just couldn't fix it that day. The electrician said it would be about $500 or a little less. We do not know Geigers company policy and a representative of their company gave us the quote we asked for. This is a verbal agreement. The work was done a week later and when we receive the bill it was over $1000 with no breakdown of the cost for material and they charged for two electricians for a one electrician job. We immediate contacted then and Shannon, the owners wife, was very rude and unprofessional in her response. She said the electricians aren't allowed to give prices because they do not know prices, only the owner can give an estimate. If their employees are poorly trained on company policy that is not the customers fault. When we stated that we would not pay over $500, then the electrician should have immediately stated let me call the office to get you an estimate, but he did not do that. This is called bait and switch. Tell the customer one thing to get the job and when you bill them double, well the owner can only tell you pricing. This is unethical business. When my wife informed Shannon we wanted a breakdown of the cost she refused to send it and said she could have the owner come out at give us a price. The work was already done! We told her we would not pay more than the $500 quoted and she threatened to send us to collections within 60 days. Two days later we received a notice stating if we don't pay within 21 days we were being sent to collections. This is very unethical and unprofessional behavior. I do not recommend anyone use this company.

The majority of the reviews here were done by family and friends of the company which turned out to be very misleading. We called to repair some outlets that were not working in our bathroom and the repair technician was very cordial and professional however, he did not seal the outlets correctly and the steam/condensation from the hot shower made the problem even worse. And on top of that, when we called to let them know that they did not do their job, the lady that answered the phone was very defensive and hostile till the point where she started blaming us! Would most definitely not recommend.

Buyer Beware! Technician quoted us no more than $500 to complete the job. A week later we received an invoice that was more than double!! We specifically told them we would not move forward if the job cost more than $500, because my father would do it for us when we returned from vacation. They charged us for more hours than the technician was here. We have him on video for 2.5, but they are charging us for 5.

We tried to rectify the issue. Shanon Geiger said the technician should not have given us a price that the owner would have come out to give us an estimate. Why didn't the owner give us an estimate if this is how they run things in the first place? Why didn't the technician call the owner? Why did he state the job would be $500 or less? The technician never mentioned sending the owner to confirm the job wouldn't cost more than $500. I went by the technicians word who is representing the company... Shanon doesn't seem to care ripping consumers off.

Could not find a bad plug but "Geiger Electric" employee Don Piper was very professional and traced it down and fixed the problem. Nice to see a young man have the knowledge and professionalism to perform the work quickly. Ask for Don!

Unethical, and POOR customer Service.
Don’t waste your time, and avoid any headaches

Came and gave one price, but bill came in more than double! They send out extra guys and then charge YOU for it!
When a business gives a price there supposed to stand by it, however, this “business” or lack thereof, has shady practices and is padding their pockets at the cost of many customers, they’re hoping no one makes a deal about it so they can keep scamming poor unsuspecting customers
