I absolutely love working with Chad and his team - he’s done a number of projects for my family over the years and he recently helped us update our entire house. Chad is the exact kind of contractor you always wish you get to work with on big projects like this. He’s very reliable, knowledgeable, personable and doesn’t make you feel like you need to sweat the small stuff. He’s really a partner in helping you build out your house how you want. It’s been a year since our remodel and I could not be more pleased with the work he and his team did on our house and how well everything is working. Haagen General Contractors completed a remodel of our builder grade 20+ year old leaky bathroom in December 2024. Chad and his team were professional, friendly, and courteous at all times. Dimitri is just a gem of a person. A pleasure to have in our home who freely spoke his mind when our vision needed adjustments. I would highly recommend Haagen to anyone looking for a GC in the area.
A few suggestions for those scouring the reviews as we did before choosing a GC. Get multiple bids. Only then will you appreciate the detail and guidance Chad provides in the process. Follow Chad's suggestions on sourcing supplies. Nothing wrong with Home Depot, Lowes, Floor and Decor and even Amazon, we used them all. I highly recommend a visit to Ferguson in Portland for inspiration. CFM in Vancouver has the best tile. Drywall day is messy, it's part of the process.
Chad was extremely communicative every step of the way. Project was delivered on time at a fair price. Thanks Chad, we love our new bathroom.

Chad and his employees were amazing. Dimitri did the majority of the work and he is an artist. Chad kept us informed during all parts of the remodel, which my wife and I really appreciated. One of his contractors added lights to the outside of our house. Shout out to Bren! If we’re ever going to do another remodel, Chad will be our go to contractor.

The embodiment of integrity, we couldn't have felt more secure about our primary bathroom remodel with HAAGEN General Contractors. It was so uplifting to have Chad and his team in our home! They were each respectful, efficient, and truly cared for the project as if crafting for their own home. Chad could even accommodate a pause in the project for our personal matters and we could still both work from home while the team did their thing being quiet as a mouse lol. And now our days are brighter in a beautiful shower, solid, sound, and sophisticated!

Haagen General Contactor just did an excellent remodel of my shower and I highly recommend them. The price was competitive and the work done by Chad Haagen’s team was superb. Dmitry is like an old world craftsman with modern tools and has an artist’s eye and superb skills.. He and Chad took the time I needed to put in the grab bars that will serve me well in future years. They are trustworthy, efficient and simply, very good people. My home was completely protected and was left in immaculate condition. I did my research and had bids and Haagen was the very best choice! I will call them for any other work I will have in the future.

He is confident in his team’s work; and you can be sure he keeps his word to his clients. So, you know he is here to make sure you are satisfied with the outcome by continually updating clients on an almost daily basis–sometimes multiple times a day.
The services provided to my home project were quick. But most importantly, efficient! Needless to say that you will feel your home is in the good hands of a team that is honest and true to their word. But I will let the work speak for itself!
Lastly, Demitry, an excellent team player, does fantastic work. I am amazed at how beautifully my flooring turned out.

We cannot say enough nice things about working with Chad and his team on our bathroom remodel. We had interviewed several other contractors but went with Chad because of his upbeat and positive attitude. He took the time to answer our questions clearly and honestly. Everything we discussed was included in his bid, which was quickly presented to us shortly after our first meeting with Chad.
Once the project was underway, there were no surprises. Chad would make regular visits to check up on the progress of how things were coming along and to discuss with us any questions we might have. He also made it a point of keeping us on track for meeting our project deliverables like tile, paint, bath fixtures and lighting selections so that there wouldn’t be any down time or delays, meeting the project timeline. He and his team completed the project as discussed on time and budget. I was very impressed with Chad’s network of people he used on our project. The cabinet maker, tile layer and painter were all top notch in their craft. We are very pleased with the end result. We would recommend Haagen General Contractor for any remodeling projects.
