Recently went for my grandma's funeral. These were very clean, lots of parking, and had everything we needed! The entire village only takes about 10 min to walk so you can't really be in a bad location here. In saying that, you're just a short walk from the grocery store or gas station if you need to pick something quick up!

I'd suggest buying groceries on the way into springview though, and you have an oven, microwave, and there are limited pots/pans/dishes for you to use. I don't know if there's anywhere to get food here, so it's nice this place has the ability to make your own!

As a side note, we came on a day that they did have a little festival by the grocery store with baked goods, corn hole tourney, dinner, and a bar set up.

My family had a good time considering our reasoning for visiting.

We needed a place to sleep while traveling and this hotel was right on our way. It's not just for sleeping but offers much more for a really comfortable stay. It is a nice vacation apartment, or furnished apartment for anyone who might come to that area for work. It has enough room for a small family, an equipped kitchen, coffee and a real drip coffee maker (not a stupid keurig!), a clean and spacious shower, and a comfortable bed. Check-in was easy and the host ensured I got a message with the access code. I would definitely stay there again if I will be traveling that route.

I stumbled across this and was skeptical at first, but we needed a room and couldn’t find one anywhere. This place was a hidden gem!! It is an apartment with everything you need…living room with TV, couch, recliner….kitchen with fridge and stove….bedroom with queen size bed and a twin bed…and a nice bathroom with shower.
This actually beats any hotel I’ve stayed in!

Place is so homey and well equipped. Felt like walking into a furnished spotless apartment. Sandra is fantastic to speak with. Wish she owned more. You will not be disappointed.

We were in Valentine trying to get a room and everything was either booked or way too expensive. I found this place via Google Maps and being only 45 mins or so from Valentine and going the way we were headed anyways, we called them up. || This is a self serve place, so no check in options in person. We called, which was the best thing to do and lucky as they were about to close up for the night. We made arragements and then about 10-15 mins later we got a text that showed us our room number and code to get in the door. The code will work up until 11am the next day.|| Found the hotel no problem as it's a small town and got in our room. It's a 1 bedroom apartment, so not like a hotel at all. With a full kitchen, living room spearate bedroom and storage.|| The living room was big and had a couch and chair and big TV. The kitchen had a nice bar style counter as well as stove, fridge, etc. There were a few pots and pans, and some utensils, but not a whole lot, but enough to that if someone were wanting to cook and eat they could.|| The bedroom also had a TV in it behind a sliding door which was nice. The downfall of it was the pillows were small and not that comfortable.|| The bathroom was big and noticed it was all handicapped equiped, so those with disabilities should find this place perfect for their needs. Not sure if it was just our room or all of them.|| I can't comment on the town as we arrived later at night and then were gone before the sun came out, but I'm assuming there wasn't much around in terms of food options and such.|| Not only did this work great for us, it was a lot better priced than Valentine was...

It was odd to me and a first, being a self-service Motel. After calling the owner, (that was very nice) I got into the place. I did not get an email with the code and instructions. Wow-what a nice place. I could live there. Very clean, functional, well put togeather, very comfortable. The shower could have used more water pressure and volume, but nothing they could do about that. I really enjoyed my stay and wished I could have stayed longer. Nice people, good value, great place. I bet the rate goes way up for hunting season. Would stay there again. I told my gal we should take a vacation there.

My son and I were Turkey hunting in the area. The Hiland house owners Sandra and Ron are great to work with and communicated with us to help make our stay wonderful. The building is all one level and you can pack in and out from the parking or street sides. You have what looks like an apartment with living room, full kitchen, bath and separate bedroom. TV's in LR and BR, Cable and great WIFI!!!! Price is great!

We were looking for a place to stay late in the day and ran across the Hiland House. For a self-service hotel in a very small town, we were very pleased with the room and the rate. We would definitely stay here again.
