Alfie and associates have restored our vintage mid-century coffee table. We brought him a pile of broken legs and scuffed wood and in a couple of weeks, we picked up our rebuilt and refinished beauty! His craftsman remade legs to match the damaged originals. Alfie and team do outstanding work. I've had a 100+ year old farm bench rebuilt (a challenging job), and a Saarinen womb chair restored. Both jobs were done with care, attention to detail and excellent results. Alfie is also a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended.

Our Eames chair goes back to the 1970s and the piece closest to the armrest broke off. We saved the piece and Humemodern was able to repair the break, cleaned the leather and the chair looks great. Nice to have it back! It was delivered by California Art Delivery, an excellent company.

Alfie is a literal genius when it comes to fixing vintage pieces. He turned a mid century bar that was a mess into an amazing Tiki Bar keeping the authenticity and vibe while making it usable and beautiful. Highly recommend

My grandfather passed down a 1978 Eames lounge chair that had suffered a shock mount failure that caused one of the wings on the seat back to crack. I found Hume Modern through a local Herman Miller dealer, and after a quick back and forth with Alfie, decided do to go with their services. It was scary to send such a valuable heirloom across the country but Alfie was in contact throughout the process and when we got the chair back the restoration was incredible.

We didn't know how awesome our Eames lounge chair and ottoman were until we found Hume Modern. Alfie is a rockstar. Super knowledgeable and killer talented at furniture restoration. He took a very old, beat up, tired sad chair and made it look brand new as if it came right out of an Eames showroom.
