When they say custom designs they mean it! We had a custom size dining table we needed to fit a tight space. We visited the store in La Jolla meeting Brittany for the first time. The shop is full of beautiful pieces - all of them a virtual work of art. Brittany showed us several different tables making sure she had a good idea of what we were looking for. Making a custom table exactly to our size was no problem. As we worked through the process we were able to visit their lumberyard and pick out the rough sawn slab for our table. John, Co-Owner with Brittany, walked us through the different slabs and what they would look like when finished. Our finished table was received on time and absolutely beautiful. As it happened, that is not where our story ends. A short time after our table was delivered to our new condo, one of our subcontractors was wrapping up some work and damaged the finish on the top of the table, ugh! We stopped by the shop and told Brittany about it. She immediately said if we could get the table back to the shop they could refinish the top. The table was refinished and returned to us in a timely manner - needless to say our table looks beautiful. Brittany and John were super to work with and even more impressive with the service after the sale. We give Indigenous by La Rue our highest recommendation.

This is such a cool store, went in there to get some ideas on building my own epoxy table. Saw one that my wife and I both feel in love with and the price was reasonable compared to ones I had seen on line. It’s now sitting in my dinning room and everyone who sees it loves it!

Came out to La Jolla from San Diego where I was visiting my son who has just moved from New York City and lives in a very modern apartment with lots of concrete, white walks and dark wood floors. I was going to gallery hop to find him a house warming present when I saw Indigenous. I was amazed at the quality and variety of sculpture, wood and glass objects and furniture. The owner could not have been more accommodating and helpful to me and my search for the perfect gift. I found two beautiful petrified wood pieces that met my needs exactly. A totally enjoyable and worthwhile encounter!
