I have been coming to see Cindy for a long time, about 10 years now. She really is one of the best in her field. Her prices are great! Her work is impeccable! I've never written a review, but this well deserved. I've been going to Jackon Fabrics for many years, and Wendy has always been so helpful with her advise and suggestions. It's like taking a mini crash course of how to do your project better and easier. The fabric selection, supplies and prices are so reasonable and the service is excellent.

Cindy spent a lot of time with me. She asked good questions about what I wanted. She also showed what different size foam would look like, also different finishes on edges. Went home with samples and found perfect fabric!

I cannot write this review without being blunt, so pardon my extreme “openness”. I purchased some chenille from this shop to do some piping for an upholstery project. I only needed 1/4 of a yard. She cut me a yard for $25.00-ok no biggie. I then ran into some trouble with my Juki machine and brought the plates and sides in for her to put together. She asked great questions and I answered them accordingly. I took 2 of the cushions home to finish them on a walking foot machine. They turned out nearly perfect. Big improvement both aesthetically and comfortability-wise.. When I picked up the cushions from her shop, I just payed her and did not even bother checking her work. Big mistake! The back cushion upholstery was “loosey goosey”. What a huge letdown! The cushions that I made were so tight you can bounce a quarter off of them. Not hers. She somehow miscalculated the size even after my specific directions. So now I’m stuck with a cushion that looks like it has a cover on it. Very tacky.. I am very disappointed with her workmanship. She also told me that my work (a sample i brought in for her) was too short of a stitch. I tried to explain to her that my Juki machine shortened the stitch due to too much lumpy fabric and no walking foot. She still read me a riot act. Holy cow! Enough already!
I had to purchase some of that chenille (sold by the quarter yard) from another store and I picked it up for almost half the cost per yard that she charged me, LOL. I will no longer be using this establishment for anything whatsoever, as I have wasted enough time, money, and energy driving to El Cajon. There are upholstery shops on every corner around here. I picked this shop because of the 5 star review. I guess being a perfectionist paid off in my new hobby, because my (finished cushions) work looks wonderful! My experience with Cindy was that she is rough around the edges, and is just a bit on the arrogant side with a know it all attitude. I was ok with all of that until I saw this finished product. So, I took one star away for unsubstantial work, and one for the abrasiveness of her demeanor. 5 stars apparently don’t mean diddly…. Sad but true.

Cindy, the owner, is always there and she really knows her stuff! She makes custom wheelchair cushions and covers for me at a fraction of the price of a medical supply place. My family goes here instead of the big fabric store because Cindy is helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Jackson's Fabric Corner!
