this is a review of the online store not brick and mortar. we ordered a piece of furniture that was delivered by the most unprofessional duo ever. they destroyed our driveway, our floors, front yard, and managed to crack the glass panel of the furniture during assembly. we contacted customer service and they offered either a replacement or refund. we took the refund. when we asked about the damage to our house, Jonathan Adler washed their hands off any responsibility and told us to deal with the delivery company *they* contacted. strongly advise you to stay away. this company doesn't care about its customers and doesn't stand by its service. terrible.

I want to share my experience stumbling into the Jonathan Adler brick and mortar shop in San Francisco. The colorful decor just totally caught our eye as we were walking down Fillmore and we had to step inside. This is a new brand for me, and my overall first impressions were that the pieces were too maximalist, almost too kitschy, but we spent some time browsing around. The store associates were really nice and were happy to chat with us about the products.

Later that night, I found a beautiful piece from the Menagerie collection on discount that was sold out on the website. I called the SF store to find out if they had any in the store but they were out. They checked and found some in stock in another city and suggested we give them a call. The people at the other store were so kind in sending us the product via UPS and it just arrived today and we are over the moon. Although we agreed that seeing all the colorful, whimsical pieces together in one showroom is a bit much, when you take one or two out of that environment and put it into your own interior style they really make beautiful and complementary additions to a room. And I found the prices to be really reasonable, especially when they're on sale. I am super satisfied with the customer service experience at Jonathan Adler and can't wait to style my new piece!

Great furniture and decor store for groovy rich people. Bright colors, 70's styles, and funky furniture. There were drug references written on vases, large $200 pharmaceutical pills crafted out of acrlyic, beaded wall art depicting a woman smoking something that was possibly laced, candles, 3 foot tall wicker bananas, chairs with optical illusions on the fabric, and things of that nature. For some reason, there was even a $150 "quaaludes" container being sold here.

The person working at the store was not friendly.

Disappointing Online Experience

I’m incredibly disappointed with the Jonathan Adler online shopping experience. It’s frustrating that I can’t choose gift options when making a purchase online. In this day and age, with so much advanced technology available, it’s shocking that this isn’t an option on your website. Having to call the store just to arrange gift options is inconvenient and outdated.

This lack of functionality is truly unacceptable and reflects poorly on your brand. You should be ashamed of the subpar experience you’re providing for customers who expect more from a high-end retailer. Please prioritize improving your website.

I had an amazing experience here. I bought a gift and Sofia Canton was attentive, friendly, and detail oriented! She meticulously gift wrapped my gift and even gave me a card to add to it. Please ask for her when needing assistance!

Schofields has been around since before I was born. I'm in my seventies. It is always meant fine furniture and fine service. I own one of its mahogany Federal China closets with hand blown glass lights. That particular piece was originally made in the 1920s and I bought it from the original owner in an estate sale. I still have it and they still make that particular piece. A beautifully crafted item with a drop-down desk and below, a set of drawers drawers with brass pulls.

Good products, but be warned that if you buy anything, you will never, ever get off their mail list. I've been asking, in writing, to be removed from their mail list several times a year for almost five years. They acknowledge the requests but don't take action. A few months later, there's always another tree-killing JA catalogue junking up my mailbox.

I don't know whether it's spite or incompetence, but disregarding repeated requests for privacy is a terrible way to build a customer relationship. I will never do business with them again.
