So grateful for La Bella Figura and Bards! Bettina has a great eye with everything she chooses. I came in lost on which direction I wanted to go with a custom headboard and chairs. Bettina took the time to come to my home and use her talented design eye to assist me in finalizing the fabric details. The end product is a 10/10! The best part is, it doesn't stop there. La Bella Figura is a stunning store with high quality unique gifts and home fragrance.

Bettina is very thoughtful and has been a complete pleasure to work with in our home for the past five years. She listens to what we want (often I tear an image from a magazine as an inspiration and we use it as a compass.) She helps to support our family to help create loving spaces by using her attention to detail for our kids' bedrooms, our gatherings spaces like our kitchen table chairs, to our living room couches and pillows. Bettina is very focused, stylish, timely, ethical and brings a lovely presence to each meeting. I highly recommend La Bella Figura!

I absolutely love this store and their services. I have had several pieces recovered and refinished by Bettina and her team. The care and professionalism with which she handles projects (and customers!) is incredible. They are always my first call when I have a home project. I also appreciate the unique high end gifts offered in the storefront. When I need something special, like a thick Italian cashmere blanket, or a silk robe, or an Italian candle, I go to La Bella Figura.

Bettina Rudat’s family has been creating works of art, via their custom upholstery business, known as Bards, for more than 50 years. Their work is hands down the very best! Bettina is continuing this multi generational business with supreme knowledge of both represented products and how they will fit into her customer’s most cherished spaces. She is patient and kind. Her shop La Bella Figura is full of sophisticated and eclectic finds for the home. These two businesses under one roof make La Bella Figura/Bards a unique and lovely experience!

La jollan’s are so lucky that Bettina took over the family business and kept the amazing craftsmanship and enhanced a retail shopping experience. La Bella Figura is a generational business that all La Jollans can be proud of!! Her retail store is filled with gorgeous unique classic everything!!!!! I had a favorite chair upholstered in turquoise linen and it came out gorgeous it’s absolutely my favorite chair!!!!

I came by this store on my Birthday and the experience made my day oh so special! I found many delicate, beautiful, unique items that I simply couldn’t live without! The candles smell delicious, I practically live in my silk tiger pajamas. If you are looking for a memorable gift, this is the place. Betina truly has an eye for design and has helped me decorate my home from dinning room, master bedroom and my childrens rooms. She gave my children the unique experience of creating their own space. Allowing them to be a part of their new room design process and express their creativity.

This shop is also my go to for gifts! I am always excited to see what new items she has purchased as many of them come from Europe!
