Delicious and authentic Mediterranean food.
This cozy and warm restaurant is located off the main street in this quiet town. It is clean and convenient. Especially on Mondays, when the most restaurants were closed on Mondays, I was able to find this restaurant since I was very hungry at 230 pm.
The food was very delicious and I ordered the Lule: beef and chicken kabobs. The meats were juicy and delicious; the side dish was authentic with eggplants and tomatoes. I was rather happy with the food. The interior design was yellow and cozy, plus the cold lemon water, made me feel very comfortable. It was reasonable priced as 21 dollars. I certainly will come back to this restaurant again.

Lots of vegan choices here with faux meats. I ate my falafel and fries. The fries were a light golden, crunchy outside fluffy inside, generous portion, but it costs extra. The falafel (about five in the wrap) was good, a little dry, but good chickpea flavor 5/5...but I wished the lettuce wasn't so "spring mix from a supermarket bag" and clubky chunky...I like to see more finesse...but the pita was the thick fluffy kind and the sandwich was well wrapped so you could hold it without too much falling out. I enjoyed the cute Sierra Madre ambiance inside...though I was kept waiting so long in the place i nearly left...about 12 minutes alone before someone emerged from the back, without as much of a welcome or greeting. Well, I was excited to be there at least. Anyway, no check ins from any server but I tipped the guy 15 percent anyway, and he did thank me for that. I ordered a beef and chicken combo with rice and the proteins were grrrreat 5/5. It survived the half-hour drive home. Suggestion: Ask to have the pita bread packaged outside the container. The pita was under the proteins...alas mushy soggy unrecognizable....not smart, sorry. So if you want pita that isn't mush, beg to have the pita on the side. One star less because of that decision to put bread on the bottom for a takeout order. My mom didn't get any pita 0/5 and that's a shame bec it was the fluffy kind.

This is a great spot to stop in for a delicious meal.

The food is super yum. The environment is a drop in and eat place. I would not go here for the service at all.

It is also very pricey for a local spot.

I would go again if in the area for sure based on food taste.

They need to train their staff properly. Our family purchased us a $100 gift card on their website, to help support a local business and feed us while we are displaced from the Eaton fire. We presented the email code at the store when picking up a phone order, and the staff refused to accept the gift card. They said they didn’t know what to do with this, and there was noone they were willing to call to figure out how to apply the credit. What a scam!

Ditched the cooking tonight and picked up dinner at Lemon Zest.

I enjoyed the salmon kabob with half rice, half salad. I absolutely love the roasted veggies (zucchini, onions, tomatoes). The salmon was juicy, not dry like other places I’ve tried. They don’t over cook it.

Next, the beef luleh kanob plate was paired with half rice, half salad.

Ordered a side of hummus and pita, delicious and fresh flavored, a total of $53.

Wanna lazy Sunday with me? Keep calm. Adapt. Carry On. Lemon Zest Café is a cute mediterranean restaurant in Sierra Madre. They have other locations: Glendale, Van Nuys and Sherman Oaks. Their Mediterranean restaurant is known for its modern interpretation of classic dishes and its insistence on only using high quality fresh ingredients. Furthermore, their interior decor and atmosphere was exceptional. They offer a wide variety of food/drinks where prices were reasonable. I ordered their Salmon Plate Kebob with rice and salad. Their salmon and rice were soft, warm and taste good. Similarly, their salad was fresh, crunchy and flavorful. Service was on point. Prices were reasonable. Free wifi available. Plenty of street parking. Overall, I enjoyed my dine-in experience and food. I will definitely come back. I recommend this place.

Went during the week around lunch time.

Atmosphere: awesome place. Relaxing area and very clean. Also within a good area to walk around. They have outdoor seating also and parking is good.

Service: The person (says they're new to the location) that was working at the front was really nice and had good recommendations on food.

Food: Overall the food was great. Had the Chipotle Chicken wrap and Chicken Kabob with Caesar salad. Both entrées were very delicious. One of the entrées is enough for a whole meal (was just curious haha).

Price: Price was decent. Average price per meal for a restaurant.
