Steve designed our front yard landscaping and I hired a contractor to install. I was very happy with the design that Steve came up with. I liked his ideas about using water friendly plants, matching the pilasters with the common areas of the neighborhood, paver design, and rock selection. He also did a final review of the plant selection and placement before the contractor planted the plants.

Steve was so easy to work with. He listened to what we wanted. He interjected some thoughtful ideas we had not considered and through our joint collaboration, proceeded to create a detailed plan that we presented to the landscaper. The finished product is great. Working with Steven Letz was everything I was hoping for and more. When my spouse and I were looking to get our backyard redone last year, we did not know where to start. I began by calling landscaping companies who often asked if I had a design in mind. With no plans to speak of, I went in search of a custom design. I was looking for someone who knew the area and was familiar with canyon landscapes. I was lucky enough to find Letz Design. From the beginning Steven was quick to respond, extremely personable, always on time, knowledgable, provided us with a quick turn around, and had very reasonable rates. He also is concerned with water conservation which is a value we share. Steven provided me with a list of recommend landscapers, one of which we choose to work with. Once the designs were drafted and the landscapers took over the work, Steven was always on hand with any questions we had, was able to step in when changes needed to be made to the plans, and checked-in often to ensure we were happy with the results. We wholeheartedly recommend working with Letz Design Landscape. I have included some before and after pictures. I wish I could include pictures of the beautiful hand-drawn drafting sheets that Steven created for our yard but, I thought there might be a copyright issue. We highly recommend Letz Design Landscape and Steve Letz! We recently redid all of our landscaping - front, driveway, back - hardscape, plants, etc. We had a sense of what we wanted, but knew we needed help with the design, so contacted several landscape design companies that had been recommended to us. We are so happy we were given Steve Letz' name and that we worked with him to develop our plans. We needed to have most of the hardscape redone (all new front walkways, driveway, back patio, flagstones, raised beds, trellises, and modification of a pony wall), along with almost all new plant installation, new irrigation, drainage, etc. Working with Steve was a very interactive process, with him listening to what we were thinking, and then sharing his thoughts on how to best accomplish our objectives. Steve gave us options for both hardscape (layout, materials, colors, etc.) and for plants. Once the plans were finalized, he provided suggestions for contractors (we would also highly recommend the contractor we worked with, Tim Vu of Springview Landscape). During the installation, Steve regularly visited, was always available to help when questions arose, confirmed plant placement, etc. In addition to being a very knowledgeable, talented landscape designer, Steve is a great person and was a pleasure to work with. We would highly recommend Steve to anyone who needs help with landscape design. Steve was recommended to us by a construction company, and we were very happy with his design, and he was very easy to work with. Steve responded quickly to our initial call and stayed on top of the design and finished in a timely manner. We felt his fees were very reasonable as well. Our main objective was to remove the existing grass and replace it with walking paths. plants, and a pergola. We really enjoy sitting under the pergola which has given us a new prospective from the backyard and another place to entertain.

Going for a landscape design and having Steve as our designer are two best decisions we made for our landscape project.

We landscaped a decade again without much to show for it today. So, we decided to hire a professional designer this time around.

Steve is just the professional we have been looking for. He shows up on time for every meeting, listens and gives sound advice, responds promptly to emails, and follows up diligently on our project progress.

We are very pleased with Steve’s design, which ties the soft and hard scapes with unity, flow, and simplicity. Steve has a knack for creative re-use. Instead of demolishing an existing concrete pad, he adds a flower arbor and transforms the eyesore into an attractive focal point.

We have no doubt that we save money and hassle for the landscape project because of Steve. He recommended several contractors he trusted to implement the design. Having gone through the bidding process, we know that we would not have been able to locate the same quality professionals ourselves for similar budget and outcome.

Our project is currently under way. We look forward to enjoying our expanded outdoor spaces and rest areas with paver pathways encircling hundreds of colorful Mediterranean and native plants in our front yard, back yard, and down the slope.
