I can wholeheartedly recommend Joe Pennisi for your next design need. We hired Joe in late 2022 to help us plan and design an addition to our ~ 2000 s.f. home in Pleasanton. The result was an additional ~650 s.f. of living space including a new master suite and bathroom, a new kid's bedroom, two new entry spaces, an integrated home workshop, a new third garage bay, and multiple areas of reconfiguring the original living space. In my mind, it wasn't a straightforward task to meet the needs we had, but I think Joe did it beautifully with his architectural design.

Specific areas where Joe was very helpful to us include 1.) Presenting multiple approaches to meet our needs 2.) Corresponding with the City of Pleasanton to help establish constraints 3.) Saving us money and hassle by designing around the existing entry points for our utilities (gas, electrical) 4.) Providing a much-needed adult retreat area (we have 5 kids), and 5.) Providing an architectural style that seamlessly blended with the other homes in our area while providing an enhanced aesthetic to our remodeled home. On the latter point, we have gotten so many compliments on how well everything turned out from neighbors and friends.

Overall A++ and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Joe to anyone. Thank you Joe for helping our family to have a very comfortable and beautiful living space that we all take pride in!

Joe is an independent architect we hired separate from our general contracting team and interior design team. He worked flawlessly with a team that was new to him and was a true professional in every sense. He met all of the team's deadlines, communicated effectively, and was able to use his vast knowledge to answer any of their technical questions. He worked with the entire team to create and compile our construction docs for permit submission. With his level of detail and accuracy, there was only minimal feedback from the permitting department on our submission and we were able get our building permit with only one round of revisions. In 10 weeks, our best case scenario. Amazing!

The most impressive part working with Joe Pennisi is that he is thorough in every stage of the construction project. He is as prompt and professional today as when I first met him.
