My fence blew over and I must have talked with 10+ fencing companies & had 4 people come over same-day to provide quotes. Gerald, from Reuben Borg, stood out amongst the pack! He took his time surveying the fence area, asked great questions, and provided me with information that the other fence companies didn't. He was upfront that RB wouldn't be the cheapest quote I got that day (which was true, they were the second highest), but he brought a level of professionalism and expertise that made me think that RB would be worth the extra cost. Gerald was super responsive via call/text throughout my entire process, from sale to installation to work completion.

The installation itself was done across 2 days- 1 day to install, 1/2 day to stain/seal. Supposedly the installation Team are employees of RB, which gave me a sense of comfort that these were experienced professionals vs. day-workers. From what I can tell, the install Team tried to be respectful of my garden, which is a tall order... I have plants right up to the fence line that I couldn't bring myself to move. A couple plants look like they may have been damaged/killed, but I don't think it's their fault... just consequence of where they had to dig holes for the new fence posts.

The only semi-negative experience I had with RB was when I called into the office. I had thought that they were going to do the install + stain in a single day so I was surprised when the stain got moved to a follow-up appointment. I asked why the Team doesn't stain the boards before installing, as that would seem like a better process especially for fences like mine where there is a lot of foliage that make it hard to stain after installing. The lady who I was talking with was really short, borderline argumentative with me, which felt inappropriate given that I was just curious to better understand their process.

We were in serious need of a new fence as our existing one was old and teetering on collapse. After looking at a few alternatives, we talked with Gerald at Ruben Borg Fencing. He was extremely knowledgeable and I liked their approach to fencing and the post guarantee due to their unique technology. It took us almost a year before we pulled the trigger due to working through details with our neighbors but then Gerald and his team led by Antonio came out and made the magic happen in just a few days. We had some complexity of being on a slightly sloped lot and also wanting to relocate the fence onto the property lines but they took that all in stride and the result is spectacular. I also really liked that they could bill our neighbors directly for their share so we didn't have to be in the middle of that. Our fence is con heart redwood, 6x6 posts with a pecan stain and it does not look like it will be going anywhere for decades. I highly recommend Gerald and Antonio!

I was nervous to put in a new fence around my entire home, They helped me through the entire process!
As the date got closer for installation, the office team kept me informed and set the expectations. Mr Borg’s team was on time, courteous and checked in with me asking if everything looks good and or I pointed out anything they would make adjustments . The fence turned out beautiful..I love my backyard now!!

If quality construction is your priority, you should definitely talk to Reuben Borg Fence. I recently had them replace my front yard fence and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Building to specfications were super important to me as this was a front yard fence that required review by our neighbors and city.

Reuben Borg utilized high-quality materials; they seem to have some exclusive sources that are far better than some random guy going to Home Depot to build you a fence as a side gig.

When the atmospheric river and mad winds hit our neighborhood, a massive spruce tree came crashing down on our fence. Thankfully no one was hurt, which is the first great news in this story. The second great news is that we chose Reuben Borg Fence to rebuild our fence. I needed a long stretch of fence replaced and contacted Reuben Borg as well as several other companies to come out to take a look and provide quotes for the project.

Gerald came by and was instantly on the same page as me in terms of what I was looking for and expecting (quality, accountability, materials, value, etc.), which immediately set Reuben Borg ahead of every other company I had spoken with. Gerald was very thorough, articulate, thoughtful, and knowledgeable about what should be done and understood exactly where I was coming from. Even well after our initial conversation, he was always available if I had any follow up questions and he never made me feel like I was bothering him or contacting him too often. Just an all around pleasant person with wonderful follow up skills.

As for the project itself, the team that did the build (Perez, Osvaldo, and Rogelio) was incredibly friendly and professional, and their work was fantastic. They completed the 100-ft fence + stain in 2.5 days and even took the extra time & care of securing the property overnight to prevent critters from getting in my yard. They were also kind enough to thoroughly clean up after themselves and secure the items they needed to leave overnight while the project was happening.

The project was more expensive than competitors, but you definitely get what you pay for in terms of quality, warranty, and the workers are their employees so you have peace of mind knowing they are each insured. I will 100% be using them again, and recommend you do as well! You will not be disappointed.
