Rik’s wood working skill is impressive to say the least. He chooses exquisite woods and creates with his heart and hands...a true artistic craftsman. I am so proud and delighted with the pieces Rik has created for me. They are sensual to the eye and touch. Guests just can’t keep their hands off. But I understand...I can’t either. Glad we have Rik and and his Red Cloud Furniture to bring beauty in function back to our homes.

Rik has few equals in terms of wood artistry, craftsmanship and creativity!

There are few like him anymore who really care and have the ability to create real works of art. I stayed at his bed and breakfast in Sonoma and ended up buying a gorgeous handmade maple bureau. I loved it so much and got so many compliments on it I subsequently bought a coffee table and had him make a fabulous custom mixed wood desk for me. I also had him restore a large rare tiger wood antique bureau. He gutted the inside and additionally re-did the drawer runners... they glide out like a dream. A phenomenal job that exceeded my expectations!

The woods he uses are amazingly beautiful and top quality. Being an artist myself I appreciate Rik's gift as a true artist. If you can dream it, he can create it.

I give him my highest recommendation for his skill, integrity and for being a great person. He is so easy to work with. And you can see his passion for what he does.

I have two custom bookcases and two pieces of what I call functional art (otherwise known as tables!) that Rik crafted. I purchased the tables because I loved the care that was taken with each piece of wood, integrated into solid, unique pieces of furniture. Because of these, I had Red Cloud design, build and install two quite different bookshelf/display units. I trusted his esthetic and gave little input. Every aspect was done with absolute care and they complement each room seamlessly. For superb taste, quality and craftsmanship I would heartily recommend Red Cloud for any project.

Anyone who has seen his work, or ran their hand across his creations, know that Rik is a highly skilled and patient craftsman. He gives attention to detail, but with an artistic flair. He puts in his heart and soul, and we get the presence of beauty...and a peaceful feeling.
