I was there to receive Western Union on March 3 2025. I was told at the Customer Service that they had lost their license to receive money. They could only send it. This turned out to be a lie. A store manager that was laser and wouldn't do her job lost my business forever. She was very rude too and told me I should go to Wallgreens or Safeway in Aptos. Very disappointing experience.

it's a Safeway. record high profits go along with record high prices. maybe if the company worked for their customers instead of their CEO and share holders I wouldn't take every opportunity to shop somewhere else if possible. the store circular isn't a list of deals, it's an announcement of the ever increasing weekly ransom we'll have to pay for the basic essentials. infinite profit growth isn't possible in a closed system. raise chickens, find a friend with a cow, start a garden. feed yourself. everything you buy here is loaded with micro plastic and is basically poison to your body. you are what you eat. don't be cheese whiz, and certainly don't pay $9 per bottle for the luxury of being poisoned.

Drive-up pick up is fast and friendly. YOU CAN USE YOUR OWN REUSABLE BAGS. No more wasted paper bags!! That's awesome if you love trees.

Like many, after using the new produce compostable bags we notice our veges and fruits are not lasting - especially greens!!
Most produce shows degradation within 2-3 days. Like many in CA I’m tired of paying high prices and have less quality/amount for my dollar.
Today I spoke to management at one store, but don’t expect any action: “it’s a Corporate decision” was his excuse.
Today, my brief research shows that these compostable bags vary in ability to break down, sometimes need heat to break down at all, and at this time - no long term impact to environment is known.
Some concern also with chemicals and the process used to produce these bags are harmful to the environment and may transfer to our foods. Many recommendations online to NOT add them to home compost piles.
I propose we go back to paper bags!

This store is huge! What an amazing selection of everything you need, for a great an affordable price.

So many options for dietary restrictions - you can find excellent alternatives to dairy, gluten and vegan preferences. I was shocked at how many types of cauliflower and cassava root chips they have available for healthier snacking options.

Excellent variety of meat raised with no antibodies. You can find a hundred types of eggs, if you prefer cage-free, vegetarian fed, or if you don’t give a damn about where your eggs come from. There are so many choices.

Large in-house bakery and bulk food section. They also have an in-house pharmacy.

Safeway carries fine and fresh ingredients to help put together top notch meals from breakfast to dinner and in between and is one of my go to shopping for all things fresh. All shopping no matter where can be stressful today but these stores continue to try and make the shopping experience better though no place is completely perfect.

I know this is on corporate, but I think forcing people to buy three bags of chips at a time in order to get a discount is actually evil. Making America die even faster,
