I had a couch cushion that my kids and I stained and spilled on such that it looked like it got dropped out of a speeding car on the freeway… while raining. I cut off the tufting buttons and washed the cover and it came out like-new. I needed help getting the buttons back on and found San Juan Upholstery on Google Maps. They did a perfect job and turned the cushion around faster than I had guessed. I am very grateful thank you!!

Well, I called this place a week ago and left a voice message. No one returned my call so I followed up today and John answered the phone. I told him about my message from last week. His response was, "Oh, after seven weeks I took a week off." There was no, "So sorry, we weren't here to help you" dialog. However, I told him I understood as it was Thanksgiving week. So he had to look up my voicemail but got the number of chairs wrong so I politely repeated what I needed done. His response was to send him photos to a different cell number. I said I would do that immediately which I did along with the dimensions. I did not get a response and so reached out several hours later to ask him to confirm he received my text, had any questions and when I might receive a quote. I got this very short, confusing text that made little sense. Because I wanted clarity on what he was conveying, I asked if the price included the double welting and if he would be adding in Dacron. I did request an itemized quote by email to avoid any additional questions. I guess John did not like that. He texted me back with another, short confusing response and did not answer two of my questions. Funny, how some of us are trying to support small local businesses which is what I am trying to do; however, this place or maybe its just John himself knows nothing about customer service. In fact, my first impression of this man leaves me questioning the quality of his work and integrity. The funny thing is, if he did this job well, I had six more chairs, an large ottoman and four patio chair cushions for him to do. Guess he just doesn't care.
