Big shout out to Sandi! We highly recommend working with Sandi Kaneko Interiors for any interior design projects.
We worked with her for a renovation for pretty much entire house we recently purchased in Claremont.
I know some people let designers to decide everything with a basic direction, but we had some very specific design features we like to have in place. We just didn’t know how to put them together. So we knew this wasn't going to be an easy project.
Wow, Sandi nailed it. It was a great collaboration between Sandi and us.
We really like her process to share what we want/like with her, so we already had a huge confidence that she really understands us before we actually started the project.
We tend to focus small features and she always looked at bigger picture to make sure the design flows well, so we had great team work.
Her knowledge and skills are extremely high. She is very responsible, knows many local places to find items and people especially the contractor she works with is highly recommended. It was fun to work with her. Thank you Sandi!

We worked with Sandi to reimagine the outside of our house which looked pretty much the same as it did when it was built in 1968. We have lived in this house for 10 years and it needed a cohesive vision to refresh it - which Sandi delivered!

She took time to understand our pain points, as she described them, about the exterior of our house and then worked with us to resolve them. She was super responsive to our preferences and ideas and developed concepts that reflected something we had always wanted but didn't quite know how to put together!

Our house had way too much going on in the front with different colors, textures, and materials. Sandi's design concept was to replace the following large anchor elements: the garage door (old/off-white/creaky), the front gate (old/black/ wrought iron), and the front door (old/dated/brownish/didn't seal correctly). We worked with vendors she recommended and replaced all three doors with warm wood tones. We LOVED the result. My husband updated the landscaping because we couldn’t fit the quote from a (terrific) professional landscaper into our budget.

We're still working on implementing some of the design plan (plants, planters, accessories, courtyard and front porch furniture) but now we have a coordinated plan! Our new space looks better than we imagined and now we enjoy pulling up to our driveway instead of dreading it.

We found Sandi to be warm, professional, responsive, and a delight to work with. This was such a great experience that we would 100% work with her again for future projects!

We recently purchased a house that was much larger than our previous house and I knew how I wanted it decorated but it was going to be a massive task. So I knew that I needed to hire a professional to help me with all the furniture selections and the layout of the new furniture. I didn't want to just hire the first person that I talk to so I scheduled interviews with three different decorators. Out of the three I felt most confident in Sandi. I felt a good connection with her on our first phone call, she seemed to understand my style and the look I was going for. When she came to my house for the first time I could sense that she was confident in her ability to get the job done.

Fortunately I can tell you that I picked the right person for the job. She took care of business and did an excellent job in sourcing all of the furniture for our home. We had a tight timeframe and she managed to meet our deadline. Sandi also offers an extra service where all the furniture can be delivered to a warehouse and her people will load it in the truck and bring it to your home and set everything up for you. It does come at an additional cost but it was worth every penny.

If we had to do it all over again we certainly would choose Sandi because she just delivered. It can be very stressful buying a home and then remodeling it so having her professional help in interior decorating made this monumental task much easier. We've already hired her again for a new project, she's going to help us furnish our backyard once the landscaping is finished.

Not only is Sandi professional and easy to work with but I trusted her and relied on her more than I expected to and she did not disappoint. Sandi is also just a really nice person. I can't recommend her enough. I added a picture of our living room to show you just a glimpse of her work.

We had the pleasure of working with Sandi to do a design of our master bedroom. Our bedroom has a few quirks to it so we wanted to work with a professional. Sandi did a great job, she was very knowledgeable and was patient with my questions. We decided after the initial consult to continue with her doing to do a design concept of the room. Sandi was very communicative and we loved her design. It was spot on! Sandi also went above and beyond when we had some issues with our nightstand, working really hard to ensure our nightstand was replaced. I would highly recommend Sandi!

Sandi and her crew are the best. My mom's project was immense -- a top to bottom, whole house renovation -- with many difficult personalities, each with their own opinions. Sandi fused our ideas together, (gently) helped us avoid any clown-house landmines, and put together a consistent vision for the house. She guided us through the entire process, from raw ideas, to design, to mock-ups, to materials selection, and ultimately the execution. When her contractors (also excellent) were finished, she made sure the final product matched her vision. In the end, she oversaw the complete remodel of the kitchen, 3 bathrooms, living room, master bedroom, flooring, lighting, and windows (and window treatments!) throughout the house, all for an extremely reasonable price. We could not be happier.

There isn't a doubt in my mind that Sandi and her team's good, thoughtful work has improved upon the quality of my mom's life -- and that will be true for YEARS to come. If you have an interior design project, do yourself the biggest favor and hire her immediately.
