Super speedy service. We just bought a house in the mountains this year. Called about a part for our freestanding wood stove. They didn’t have it on hand but helped me get it ordered and shipped to the store. All in less than a week! I believe the gal in the office who helped me was Linda or Cathy(?)- anyway, she was super helpful!! We’ll definitely use them for anything else we may need going forward.

Update:
Had a maintenance visit yesterday and Miguel replaced a switch that had needed changing out and made my fireplace look better than ever! And such a pleasant guy! So happy to continue to recommend this business! They recently moved to Water Street and I was very impressed with their new showroom and selection!

I highly Santa Cruz Fireplace and Hot Tub! They replaced my wood stove with a propane fireplace-- one of the best home improvents I've ever made!
Then Chris,the owner came out today to do the yearly maintenance on my Travis insert, and it looks like a fire in a wood burning fireplace and has had me cozy warm all evening. Now I have warmth, ambiance and no more smoky house and
neighborhood! I am so happy with my beautiful gas fireplace and Chris' wonderful service!

I've had a lot of issues with my hot tub lately and hiring this company to sort them all out has been the best decision ever. I'd like to specifically point out my experience with both Linda and Miguel. Linda is incredibly caring and has taken the time to follow up consistently as she worked with Miguel to coordinate appointments for various repairs. She's also simply a joy to talk to. Miguel, their tech, knows his stuff. He's been an incredible source of knowledge for me and he meticulously fixed everything in the right way. Also both he and Linda have been willing to go the extra mile to respond and address any concerns/questions I've had afterwards. I highly recommend this company for any hot tub issues you have.

Wanted to share with the world how pleased we have been with the good folks at Santa Cruz Fireplace and Hot Tub.
We have recently purchased a new Hot Tub from them. Chris ( the owner ) and his staff have been terrific !
Great with explaining the details on the Hot Tub on purchase , as well as with Miguel and the delivery crew on bringing the tub to our home and setting it up.
Excellent experience all around.

We purchased a $5500+ pellet stove in Oct 2023 that was installed by a 3rd party recommended by SCFHT. It did not work upon installation and has never worked properly since. We also have not received the remote control or wall thermostat.
SCFHT has been NO HELP in helping to resolve the problems. They say they will have someone call us but we hear nothing. Calls to the installer are fruitless, says he only installs. We ask to speak to owner (Chris?) but are told he is too busy.
I comprehend that SCFHT does not do service but I expect a product they sell to work - what they sold me does not!
Beware of doing business with them. If you get a defective product, you're on your own. SCFHT will take your money but will be no further help.

We bought a Caldera Kauai hot tub from SC Fireplace and Hot Tub in January of 2017. The purchase and installation experience was great, and our hot tub was pretty much trouble free for its five years under warranty. Then it got to be 2023, and WHAM! 1. New Heater followed by 2. New Pump. It's mid-April, each of these is a multi-hundred $$$ job, each has only a 30-day warranty, and there are at least three more major components to replace. This may be more a critique of Caldera than of SCFHT, but as far as we can tell we will be spending at least a third of the original cost of the spa during this its sixth year. Three stars is an average of 5 during the warranty period and 1 post-warranty.

Sean was wonderful to work with. He was very helpful and informative. He understood well what I was looking for and recommended a very affordable fireplace that does everything I need. When I accidentally left my remote too close to the fireplace Sean was quick to offer me a replacement. This is why it makes sense to buy local. If I had purchased something online I’d likely have ended up with more or less than I needed and I wouldn’t have been able to walk in with a broken remote and leave 10 minutes later with a replacement. Thanks for the great service!
