I contacted Sarah last year after reading her thoughtful blog post titled "Creating a Safe Space for Neurodivergent Children to Thrive." My 15 month old son had just been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. His days would now be filled with hours of intensive at-home therapies. Could we transform our home into a space that would support these therapies, yet be warm and comfortable and naturalistic?

Sarah and her team were excited about the challenge. We had ~400 square feet of my one-bedroom condo to work with.

Sarah visited and we talked extensively about my son's needs and the many elements I hoped to incorporate, from hiding spaces to climbing structures to an entire treehouse. Her initial design beautifully brought this wishlist to life - it was everything I had envisioned, utilizing custom rugs, shelves, sensory nooks and modular play spaces tailored specifically to my son.

The result was a thoughtfully executed, multifunctional space centered around promoting social interaction and learning through play. My son loved it, and it provided the ideal setting for his continued progress and rapid development over the next year. The space works just as well for his neurotypical friends too.

What stood out was Sarah's deeply collaborative approach. With incredible capability and experience, she still made me feel empowered in the process and guided me through creative solutions rather than just saying "no." Her designs reflected care, attention and understanding of my child's needs. In a short time, she could turn any idea into well-organized, tangible implementations.

I appreciated Sarah's warmth along with her technical skill. She created something functional yet artistic, an intersection of engineering and visual beauty which now seems inevitable and perfectly suited to my family. Her work provided not just a physical space, but the foundation for my son's happiness and success.

I had the opportunity to talk to her no to long ago, i inquirer a consultation about maximizing the space at my very very small home, she gave me some amazing pointer and ideas in very professional way and respectful of my taste , thanks to her i was able to turn my place into my own little paradise that i get to call my home.
