This company is fraudulent and has taken money from numerous victims, as seen in other reviews as well. Please don’t make the same mistake as we did. They have our money and our product still and have not responded , months later.if you see them reply to this review, don’t trust it. I have the proof and a lawyer is now involved who is also helping 3 other clients of theirs.

Where to begin. Around February 2021, my wife and I started to look for a vendor for window treatments. We found Savvy House of Design as they were one of the first to respond to our request. We thought, ā€œgreat! What excellent turnaround.ā€ Turns out that Sabrina and Aly are probably the worst two people I have ever encountered in sales. Don’t be fooled, they will be responsive and great , and then once they receive your money , they go completely cold . They never responded on time, ever. Whenever I called I’d get the automatic ā€œon a call with a clientā€ text and no follow up. It wasn’t until I started to complain that I might escalate the situation that they called me and told me they’d be able to install in August (this was in June). They picked up the money (in full) and I was silly enough to give it to them.

I had 4 different install dates scheduled (where I had to take time off work) and they would go silent and not respond to me when I asked them to confirm. Then it would be the day before the install when I’d text and text only to hear back late night that they couldn’t make it and had to reschedule. It was always something different. Eventually, they installed the cheaper portion of my treatments but did not do the most expensive, the custom wood shutters. They claim the shutters are done and ready but can’t give me an install date, or proof/photo that they are done. I even offered to pick up the shutters myself and install them myself but they stopped responding. In short, this is a company of fraudsters. Run. Fast. I already have contacted their insurance and bonding company to file a claim, BBB is next followed by the Contractors Licensing Board. I’m not a petty or difficult person, but enough is enough. I won’t let these people continue to defraud and steal peoples hard earned money with their empty promises. If anyone else has gone through similar (some of you already reached out) please message me and I will try to get something fair and equitable for all of

*Disclaimer* Please read this before you consider hiring Savvy House of Design for your next project.

We made the decision of hiring Savvy House of Design for our furniture design after our home remodel in January 2021. Biggest mistake of our lives. It started out fine; Charissa Daly-Szabo and Sabrina Venegas came out to check out our space. We explained what we wanted; what our budget was and they in turn provided renderings that matched our taste. We were happy with the design and moved forward with an intent to proceed. We provided our Amex and were charged a total of $14,844 which covered 90% of our furniture budget that included window shutters. We asked for a completed contract multiple times and Charissa stated that she would provide it to us, however this was never received.

They started out responsive, but soon after, they would only respond after multiple attempts on trying to reach them. We would constantly ask for status updates on our furniture and they would give us the run around explaining that delays were due to Covid. After many failed responses; we made the decision to make a dispute with our Amex in May. Once Savvy received the dispute, they agreed they would do better with communicating and provide us a list offering promise dates of when items would be delivered. We agreed to give them another opportunity and lifted the dispute. The dates they provided conveniently kept getting delayed and after continuing to go back and forth with no resolution, we made the decision to place another dispute in June.

In response to our dispute; Savvy House Of Design fraudulently charged our Amex 5 separate charges totaling $43,976 on June 28th, July 2nd and July 8th. These charges were ran through PayPal for Savvy Window Decor (which we never agreed nor did business with). We contacted Charissa and she said these charges were errors from their ā€œaccounting departmentā€ and would have accounting proceed to credit these charges and provide receipts. No credits or receipts were ever applied so we contacted Amex again to explain these charges were all fraudulent and they opened a case on our behalf. Come to find out after, not only did Savvy not credit these charges; they sent in fraudulent receipts claiming that these charges were authorized by us to Amex.

At this point it had been 5 months (July) of continued furniture delays so we asked Charissa to provide an itemized list including order numbers of our furniture. We figured we could order the remaining items on our own, however she refused to provide us with this information. She claimed it was a liability issue so we in turn ā€œgoogle image searchedā€ our remaining furniture and found out everything with the exception of two pieces were immediately available again proving that items were never ordered.

Even though Charissa had lied to us multiple times and fraudulently charged our card, we agreed to pay for the items that were delivered, however she inflated the amounts and tried to force us into signing a release that would absolve them of any liability.

Doing some research on our end we have found out that there are more unsuspecting and trusting clients that they continue to defraud and steal money from. We have contacted the authorities to report their fraudulent ways and hopefully it will prevent them from doing this to other people.

Moral of the story; do your research, don’t do business with any company that requires most money upfront and stay away from Savvy House of Design.

The staff was enthusiastic and extremely helpful. I spent over $250k to remodel and refurnish my home. They even provided shutters. Along the way there were a few delays that we attributed to material delivery and some modifications to the agreed upon design. However, overall our home is spectacular. They even paid for Airbnb for times where construction was too cumbersome to live in.

The main designer even threw in a new fountain in our front yard for free.

If you are looking for high quality design and are willing to live through construction, I wholeheartedly recommend Savvy.

As a housewarming gift from my sister, I wanted to do something nice for their house. The experience with this company has been an absolute disaster. They took the money in cash and have yet to deliver. It’s been months and they don’t respond except to get me to back off for a little bit. I paid for services in June and it’s now October and they have my product and money and there is no finish line in sight, they just stopped responding. I would advise anyone looking for window treatments to avoid this company and not to fall for the lower price, they will take your money and run.
