I love everything about Smitty's. We bought a wood stove here which turned out to be to big for where we wanted to put it. We hadn't picked it up yet. They were happy to do an exchange for a smaller stove over the phone and reimburse the difference.

We purchased our pot bellied stove from Smitty's years ago and have always used them for our annual service. This year we required service on our Fireplace that has a LOW flame. DEAN was not going to stop until he figured out why the flame was not normal. He worked and worked and DID it! He was able to fix this fireplace that no one else had been able to figure out. Smitty's is GREAT for prompt service and Expert servicemen..

What a great crew! I bought a wood stove from Smitty's in 2019. It has been keeping me and the family warm ever since. The gals up front always greet you with a smile. The sales crew are knowledgeable and quick to remedy any warranty issues. They had the best pricing in the STATE. Would highly recommend Smitty's Fireplace.

Called them this morning to inquire about replacement parts for a Lopi wood insert. Shawn was extremely helpful. Not only did he have access to the parts I needed, he also emailed me photos and instructions for replacing the parts and told me how to safely use the stove until parts arrive. I have been doing business with Smitty’s for 10 years and have never had anything but excellent experiences. All the employees have been awesome!

Shelby assisted us in selecting rock to update our fireplace. She was knowledgeable and nice. We bought 1 too many boxes and mortar. We stopped by to purchase tools for the mortar and asked if we could return the unused box and mortar. She said yes. My husband told her that he placed a few of the unused stones from the first box in the unused box. Shelby commented that was nice of him. I returned later that afternoon to get our refund. I went in and was refunded the price of the unused box and mortar. When I pulled around to have it unloaded, a guy came out and told me he could not take the box back because it was opened. Then he proceeded to say the box had been picked through. He was the most arrogant, rude person I have ever dealt with. He would not listen and was adamant he would not take them back. I told him I already had my refund. A kid unloaded the bag of mortar. I had to drive out and back in and pay for the box of faux rock that I already had been refunded. The guy was tall with a ruddy complexion. I don't know if he was the owner but I believe he was. Shelby apologized when I came back in to repay for the rock. I had inquired about some installation work before all this happened. I will not go back there. This is poor customer service. There was nothing wrong with the rock. This man was so rude that I would never recommend this place. When a customer is provided a refund, it is a refund. I should have never had to argue with him over a box of rocks that he could easily resale. When we made our initial purchase, no one said no refunds on opened boxes or anything about a no refund policy. The receipt says no refunds on masonry materials. Then it says no merchandise will be accepted for return without permission and invoice. Restocking fee of 15%. Next time I will go to Lowe's. I would rather patronize local businesses. But if this how this one treats people, Lowe's will get my business.

Wow. I am so glad Smitty's was my first call.

Terry came to look at our two gas fireplaces which both kind of putzed out around the same time. What we thought was a serious issue (that potentially required us to replace our fireplaces) was remedied in just over an hour when he figured out that our thermostats were the issue, not the fireplaces! He cleaned/serviced both of them and installed our new thermostats during the same visit. I was surprised by this, as I expected to have to schedule again if they needed to go get replacement parts. He was friendly, efficient, informative, and kept me involved in the process. What a pleasant experience! Smitty's will definitely be my first call for anything fireplace related and I will happily recommend them to everyone I know!
