When visiting Portland to check out new products, this is the first place I visit. I bought a new tea set, and visiting outdoor stores like this always lifts my spirits. I recommend checking out the Snow Peak brand, which offers endless combinations .

Staff is lame. They don’t hardly know their own products. While in the store one fella with attitude, two that avoided us, another that asked if we needed help then walked away when we asked about sizes. So lame.

Prices are the absolute highest you will pay anywhere for Snow Peak gear.
Clothing is a total joke, they have what is basically a Carhart T-shirt for 4X the price. It’s heavy cotton in safety orange.
This is very geared to car camping not much for solo or couples doing backpacking.
Very expensive compared to similar alternatives.

Does have interesting selection of unique cast iron cookware that you would be more likely to have your staff use than yourself.

Titanium pots and pans are super but very expensive. Buy the same thing at a reasonable price at REI or other resellers.

Interesting to walk through but save your money and avoid if you aren’t walking past already.

Snow Peak Is a great place to find great quality outdoor activity products. Like camping gear, hiking gear and so much more. They have a variety of designs for tents and many other equipment, products, and accessories. With high-quality products comes a high price, which is reasonable compared to what you are getting in other stores. Customer service at this location was so nice and friendly, really welcoming. I recommend checking it out if you require any outdoor equipment.

What a neat store that allows you to fully immerse yourself in the Snow Peak universe. It's like a minimalist, designer version of REI that makes camping seem fun and trendy. Be careful or else you might find yourself overly inspired as you impulse a full camping set. The staff here is great, eager to explain what makes their products unique and demonstrate how to use them. It seems they take a long term approach to acquiring customers, which is great for not feeling pressured to buy something and take time to decide what's right for you. Overall, definitely check out this unique outdoors store if you find yourself in Portland.

A retail store that's a reflection of the brand. The flagship store is the Japanese camping company's stamp on the US market and what better place than where it all started (on this country), here in Portland. Seamlessly blending wide open spaces, tidbits about the history and founding of the brand, materials, and lighting, the store is an experience you can appreciate even if you are new to the brand.

Most of their equipment would be best served in the car camping realm but they have pieces that have made it into my backpacking gear as well.

This little known brand in the states is quite popular for those who know the Snowpeak brand.

Lifetime warranty on all gear their gear, and with every piece fully capable of integrating with all the rest of their gear it is easy to become a Snowpeak fan!

Their prices help you understand the saying.. “buy once, cry once” but I think you won’t be disappointed when you are reaching for your Snowpeak gear time and time again.

The staff is knowledgeable of the equipment and are very helpful if you want to test things out or price out entire kits and setups.
