Southern Lighting Designs' Anthony Tovar is excellent. He won our business over two other contractors. He replaced our path lighting along our driveway with ten (10) new Volt fixtures, tying into the existing transformer. He set them up perfectly in the daylight. The view at night required no additional adjustments. He added the Lutron Caseta Smart System, which enables wireless control and scheduling. He also installed a Ring Floodlight Camera in about 20 minutes. This guy knows his stuff, so we will be back - Highly recommended !

Southern Lighting Designs is THE company you need for your lighting project! Anthony and his team were amazing from beginning to end. He was super helpful during the initial consult and recommended a great solution for our lighting needs (we wanted "bistro-style" string lights on our upper deck but weren't sure which design was best). We had several lighting companies come out to provide quotes and these guys were ABSOLUTELY the best option for balancing both quality and affordability. We are so happy with the end result. Not only are our new lights beautiful, but we can rest assured knowing that if anything happens to them (weather, etc.) that they will help fix the issue in the future. HIGHLY recommend! After my installer went out of business I needed to find someone new to service my outdoor lighting. I messaged Anthony and received a reply within a few minutes. Anthony was up front and clear about his charges which was refreshing and he scheduled an appointment for a few days later. Upon arriving, Anthony showed he was very knowledgeable and experienced in the industry and was able to fix all of my issues, clean up the install a bit, and add a light for me. I wanted to put in landscape lighting for years in order to make our own use of our yard more pleasant but also to improve street appeal. I have put it off for years because I always heard that it would cost many thousands of dollars. Last year I decided to get some bids and was bummed that many came back at least $5,000 or above. Then I met southern lighting designs.

I found them on yelp and within a few days, Anthony was at our house. He came out at least five times during the afternoon to get lights set up and then stayed around so that we could look at them after sunset. He was creative in terms of finding unique solutions. He was able to advise on the most cost-effective strategies. And the final cost could not have been more than $1500. Granted... it was not a huge area... but the prices were unreal.

Anthony got our lights set up Lutron (which I think was about $100),
I did to my iPhone and on an automatic schedule.

I had such a positive experience with him that I wanted to find even more things we could do together. So I persuaded one of my neighbors to light their entire house with it and they had an awesome experience. And now I have Anthony coming back to light our front yard.

In sum:
- great value: I was going to be at least $5000 it was closer to 1000.
- amazing service: I paid only for the fixtures themselves which had a baked-in installation cost. All in the labor seems like it was nearly $0. He came out at least six times to make sure we had the right things set up and to make sure the installation was excellent. He even followed up with my neighbors six months later to make sure they were happy with the lights.
- great product: The fixtures themselves are these very elegant brushed bronze fixtures that are very heavy and high-quality, give a very powerful light, and are integrated with a very high tech solution to give me real-time scene selection and dimming.

Down side? You might annoy your neighbors now that your house looks so much better than theirs.

Anthony did an amazing job with my indoor lights! I knew I picked the right person when when he was up front with me about everything from the beginning. It’s hard to trust someone you do not know but Anthony gave me a sense of relief when he was explaining everything. He has great knowledge in his line of work and I would totally call him again!
