We bought a home in a new development that was just a dirt lot. It’s a rather small lot like many new homes, and we wanted to make it as nice as possible. We also hired a contractor to build a pool.

We didn’t know anything about landscaping, except how we wanted it to look once done. We met with Ken and Rob and they really listened. We ended up installing porcelain pavers with hidden drains around the pool, outdoor island, upgrading our outdoor fireplace, lighting, extra outlets, concrete pavers on the side of the house to the driveway to roll out the trash cans, artificial turf, plantings and penny tile on the 2nd story deck.

Weekly in person meetings and WhatsApp communication ensured everyone was on the same page, the project was completed a bit early, and the workmanship was excellent. The workers started at 7AM on the dot every day and cleaned up after themselves. We also really appreciated how they worked with the pool builder. The Landscape Company worked out the details with the pool company to ensure everything was at the correct elevation, drainage etc… and saved me a lot of hassle.

Our smallish backyard is now our little oasis and we love it. I definitely recommend The Landscape Company for your project of any size.

Some before and after photos posted.

Update Our back yard drainage worked perfectly during the recent rain (January-February 2024) Our pool overflowed but the drainage diverted all the rain and water away from our home. The backyard remains perfect. We’re so glad we were able to complete our landscaping before the rains!

This company has several boundary issues.

The Landscape Company was hired by our neighbor and Ken Paddock contacted us because he wanted access to our yard…….for our NEIGHBORS project. He emailed us so many times that it bordered harassment, with weird comments such as….

“Obtaining your signed permission to access your property is not only a procedural necessity but also a mark of mutual respect and understanding between all parties”

Mutual respect? What? We don’t know this person, or this company, we didn’t hire you and we sure as heck aren’t going to let you in our yard.

Besides the fact that his request was ridiculous, it’s been over 4 MONTHS with constant noise. This is what you can expect when you hire inept contractors.

We just completed our backyard, which included a pool removal to create more outdoor living space and simplicity. After living in this house for more than 30 years, our backyard was conformed into a resort-style living space, which includes an octagon-shaped raised deck, bar and kitchen area, raised vegetable beds, a covered dining area and many environment-friendly plants, trees and various foliage. Words that describe working with Ken and Rob are communicative, professional, responsive, hard-working, thoughtful, solution-driven, visionary, extraordinary customer service, generous, and incredibly easy to work with. In this day and age where customer service is typically not where it should be, these gentlemen surpassed our expectations.

We highly recommend The Landscape Company!

I've now done business with this company twice and both times was extremely satisfied. First was a pool removal and almost total re-landscaping of my front and back yards. Second was paving the side utility area of my house. Both projects were treated with urgency and respect. They were completed on time with no hidden fees or delays. All the people were wonderful to work with. Will absolutely go to them again and will refer anyone that asks to them.

I am please to report and very good experience with this company.
The owner provides very detailed proposals and leaves nothing to interpret.
This is one of those straight up companies that covers all the questions and provides insight at each decision. In some cases, multiple visits occur to iron out the fine details. No cut corners and no hidden costs or agenda's.
Yes, I would do business with this company and highly recommend you give them a try.

Don't bother trying to get this company to get back to you. I filled out their online form 4 times and called them 3 times and got a generic response of "a project manager will get back to you." Their idea of a "Project Manager" getting back to you is sending you the same generic from that is online and NEVER getting back to you after that. Not a way to do business. They were my first choice, until this incident. Too bad they lost out on 50K worth of business!!!!
