Let me just say that I'm tempted to buy more furniture just so Umphred can work on it. Umphred recently reupholstered my dream couch and ottoman--and they made them even better than new! Their work is exceptional; how they deal with customers even more so. The upholsterer didn't like the way the cushions initially turned out--and invited me to check them out and discuss what I liked. He redid them not once, but twice to make sure they were just right--all at no extra cost. Kudos also to January's eye for design. He will quickly pick up on the look/theme/vibe you are going for. I just sent pictures for a second project. Finally, I love, love, love Umphred's philosophy of sustainability and reuse. I tend to buy nice pieces that I love and want to keep forever, and thanks to Umphred, that is now possible. I am thrilled. Thank you!

Umphred just reupholstered our old but very sturdy sofa. What a success! January was endlessly patient and attentive as we changed our minds and cycled through different color families. January was very professional and communicative throughout my interactions with UMPHRED FURNITURE. I appreciated being walked through the options for the reupholster of my 5 dining room table chairs and timeline for the work. He took the time to show many many different options for the fabric in different lighting. He was friendly and easy to work with, listening well to my goals. The chairs came out very well. It was not inexpensive. It took a little longer than I expected for the work to be completed. I would certainly consider using Umphred again if the need arose.

We had 2 leather club chairs that were in need of re-upholstery. January assisted me in the selection of new faux leather and the final product, processed in their factory in Hayward, was gorgeous. The cost was not inexpensive but was reasonable, especially compared to some of the competition, and the quality of their work excellent. I very much recommend Umphred Furniture.
