I dropped off my small engine tool here for some repairs. The man taking the equipment, told me that items would need to be ordered. I would have preferred the tool to be repaired fairly quickly, but I didn't request that service. The guy told me that he was trying to get customers to pick up their fixed tools so he would have more room to take on more tools, so I assumed it would get repaired ASAP.

After 4 weeks of waiting I went into the store to see what was taking so long. The guy went into the back and after a couple minutes came out and said, it will be ready tomorrow before closing. I was happy to hear that

The next day I couldn't get there by closing, so I returned the day after in the morning. When the guy looked it up on the computer he said, "its not ready yet". I told him that it was ready, the guy had told me to return yesterday at end of day to pick it up. He went into the back, and came out and said they were going to start working on it now and to give him an hour or so. I explained that I had driven all the way from Pebble Beach and had to wait. He said they would try to get it done in 30 minutes. They didn't. It took about 90 minutes.

Overall the tool was repaired to my satisfaction but the disorganization of the repair being performed was disappointing. If I had known that I had to hound someone to get the tool fixed, I would have returned sooner than 4 weeks and started pushing for the tool.

If you're dropping off a tool for repair I'd suggest you get a commitment on the amount of time it will take for them to get your tool fixed and then call them on that day. It seems like maybe you have to nudge them to get the job done.

Everyone working there was very polite and helpful. It's a very busy place.

The guys in the shop are awesome. But be careful who writes you up for repairs and get it in writing what they are going to do every time I’ve taken a piece of equipment in there they try to sell me a carburetor. They had just tuned my hedge trimmer and it was running perfect but there was a leak on the fuel tank. I was told that they could fix it and it would be around $50 when I came back to pick it up. It was $190 because they decided to go ahead and just throw a new carburetor on there, it was running fine when I brought it in. In fact, I had just paid them to tune it. The guy in the shop adjusted the carburetor, and it was running like a champ. There was no reason to sell me a carburetor other than to rip me off.I’ve been buying things here for 25 years but I would rather drive somewhere else and not come out feeling cheated.

I love this place. I left bonny Doon and drove there with seven items and all were fixed on the spot since they had time and I left with them all tuned up and repaired as well as buying a new yard whacker as well since I needed it. The old guy who owns this place is super nice and treats you better than the local ace or mower shop where they just don't care about your needs, those other shops just treat you like a "take a number" customer and this place does not. I drive a hour out of my way everytime I need something just to come here.

I know David for over 20 years and I was always very pleased.The place has new faces that seem to care more about revenue than service, after all this years I had a couple months old defective tool. I took it back and I had to answer so many questions I felt humiliated my record is in their system ?
