GREAT plant nursery!! So much to choose from!! Great staff to help!! Beautiful new retail space for check-outs too!! I love spending time browsing and always end up purchasing more than intended but oh, so happy when I get to add new plants in my gardens!! Highly recommend Verde River Growers!!

Visited Verde River Growers this past weekend and what a beautiful selection they have! I could spend hours just looking at everything. Nathan helped us while we were there, and he was super kind and helpful. Even loaded up my car for me with a smile on his face! Thank you for an amazing experience!

Verde River Growers is an amazing place. We go every year to get our vegetables and are extremely happy with their professionalism their advice and their plants but yesterday I experienced something that I was very upset about. I met my girlfriend there yesterday afternoon and she is in a walker. She could not go into the plant houses to visit any of the plants. The rock gravel restricted her from going inside. How is somebody like this supposed to shop and why do I have to bring plants out for her to see? I think they need some cement walk areas inside the building. The bigger building does have a cement area but to get into that building you have to go through all the rocks. There’s no way she’s the only person that has this issue. So to the owner, please be respectful to the disabled.

I love this nursery!! The team there is very knowledgeable and go out of their way to help. They only sell what will grow in our region and the selection is amazing. Go there for your plants, you will not be sorry.

They say Apathy is the single most reason people don’t return to do business. I arrived at approximately 11:55 this Monday 11/35/2024. I had heard good about the nursery and knew what I needed to get. I had been here years ago, but not lately. After parking, I passed by a heavy set gentlemen in a blue coat and sunglasses. No “hello”, no “How may I help you?”, nothing. He returned to his cell phone. I found what I was looking for within minutes, 3 Rose of Sharon bushes. I returned to the area where the red carts were and wheeled it over to the plants. I gathered 3 plants then proceeded to check out where I was greeted with “Ok”. The man turned to his register, scanned the items and gave me the total, $131.79, followed by “sign here”. That was it, no “Did you find everything you need”, no “Can I help you with those, nothing”. I waited for even a “Thank you” but nothing. Nothing. I quipped, “You are welcome”. And wheeled my 3 plants over and into my car. Again no offer for any help, no protective bed liner film, nothing. I managed to get all 3 plants in my SUV, and drove away, leaving the little red wagon in the middle of the parking lot. What a horrible customer service experience. I am sure I will want to go back and get more plants in the future, but I will always remember this experience, and will probably not recommend this place to others. There was a time this nursery was dying to have your business. Not so much anymore I guess. 5 stars for plants, 1 star for customer service. I left angry and felt that a I would have rather paid more somewhere else and enjoy the processes of purchasing these plants. Instead, nothing, just nothing. Apathy, not a good way to do business. It was now 12:10 pm. It only took 15 minutes to disappoint.
