Great selection of wood burning stoves. Friendly and professional staff, they came out and measured our fireplace to make sure the unit we chose would fit. The installation team did a great job. They had to saw cut some brick and did it quickly and cleanly. Overall, a great experience.

Warming Trends installed a new Vermont Castings free standing fireplace heater in our cabin in Guerneville, CA. I didn't know what to expect and to be honest, the work of most installers doesn't meet my high standards of quality and I end up redoing their work after they leave. As a result, I usually do my own installations. I happy to report that the two installers with Warming Trends met my standards and were great to work with.

Both gentlemen were polite, friendly and knowledgeable. They showed up on time and went right to work. They placed drop cloths on the carpet and were very clean. When they left, you would never have known they had just installed the unit. The cabin was clean and the heater really looked like it belonged there. The chimney work looks great.

The Vermont Castings heater I purchased looks nice and works well. The service provided by Warming Trends was great and we recommend them to others for sure.

We had Warming Trends perform annual maintenance on our fireplace in May. We had no issues with the fireplace prior to the maintenance appointment but now that we're trying to use it in winter it won't turn on or takes multiple tries to turn on (just keeps clicking); if we do get it on the glass is covered in condensation now, which we never had before our maintenance appointment.

I have tried to reach them multiple times - I texted, called, and left a voicemail. I received a text back days later saying if I have any service questions to call. I replied immediately saying I already called and left a message (when I called I was transferred mid-sentence to voicemail by the woman who answered). They texted back saying they would have Mark call me ASAP but that still hasn't happened. I reached out again a week later asking for an update and if they could at least tell me if condensation is normal because we never had that previously and I still have had no response. It's been more than 3 weeks now.

I'm very disappointed because our fireplace worked perfectly before. I was also thinking we had found our annual maintenance service company but it's not a good sign if they won't call you back once you have a problem with their work and they have your money. The maintenance appointment itself went great - on time, friendly, seemingly careful, cleaned up - but this lack of basic customer service undoes that goodwill unfortunately.

Careful if you are from out of town. Visited the shop on Saturday, they were super helpful, had the stove we wanted, all good. The salesman said while we were talking that installs are “about $1300”, knowing we were from SF (he had our address down on the quote). Called Monday to finalize and now the install will cost $3400, with no explanation other than “yep it’s a few thousand more”. Huge bummer as this place seemed great, but just exhausted with this kind of sales tactic.

I cannot imagine how the sales and installation people could have performed at a higher level. Kyle was a super sales consultant. The installers, Andre and Dave, were competent, professional and friendly. Five Stars all around!!!
