We hired Jason with Water and Stone Landscapes to do some tree work for us. He came highly recommended from a friend. He was able to meet with us and discuss several projects that we wanted done within two days and he gave us an estimate that day. His prices was very reasonable so we scheduled the work for the following week. Jason showed up on time with his crew. Both of our two large Birch trees needed pruning. Jason examined the trees and found that one of the trees was starting to rot at the base and it was also showing signs of deterioration on many of the upper limbs. The tree was close to our house and it had started to lean toward our roof. He recommended taking it out before it had a chance to fall. He also did some triming and pruning on our Redwood trees, Bunch Palms and grape vine arbor. He was able to complete all of the work in a day and he did an excellent job and left the site clean. I would highly recommend hiring Jason for any arbor work or landscaping projects that you have.

Jason is an absolute professional. He came out to give advice on our trees and wound up having great recommendations for the whole yard - from what plants to plant to how to better use our pond. He came back later, climbed right up into our big oak and got to some real precise branch trimming removing big pieces over our roof. He left the zone cleaner than when he arrived. My husband and I had a pretty pie-in-the-sky idea for a water feature in our backyard. We weren't even sure if it was possible, but Jason made our dreams come true!! It was a complicated job—many tiers, a high volume of water.... but Jason did it all, faster than expected, with excellent communication throughout, and an awesome team of workers. My wife and I worked with Jason to completely redo our backyard including building a large deck with shade pergola, laying a flagstone path to an outdoor shower / hot tub zone, and planting an irrigated no-mow lawn + garden + fruit trees. Water and Stone came through in a HUGE way for fixing a pond for me. It is a big beautiful older pond that has two skimmers that were both cracked and leaking. Jason was able to come up with a creative way to retrofit the new skimmer boxes (since they don't make the old one anymore) and he rerouted the piping in a professional manner to make the system work again. The pond is now up and running!

I had tried to contact other pond companies in Santa Cruz and they were not willing to give this job a shot, but Water and Stone was up for the task and did a great job!

Jason recently removed a small tree and trimmed a large oak on our Aptos property. His skill up in the tree was amazing and the tree was beautifully sculpted. He has also been a consultant on the construction of a new patio and we have begun planning a water feature in our all-native garden.
