OMG, where to start... I'm an admitted, Certified Plant Nerd for sure! I eat, sleep, dream of plants and creative ways to utilize them to create what I call 'Living Art' I like to use Ornemental plants as my paint, and landscapes as my pallet.
I was in Sonora visiting family and noticed this new nursery off 108. Boy was I glad I stopped! I can't remember the last time I saw such a pristine, well manicured nursery. Not only the inventory, but the nursery is displayed on a slightly terraced slope, that works wonderfully to display the nursery plant, but is also inspirational to create something simular in my landscape. The way the nursery is terraced and slopped is like a painters pallet. The land is on a slight angle, so as opposed to being on flat level ground like a typical nursery would be, this terraced terrain gives depth and helps display the different contratsing colors, textures, heights, and such that are all to important to see when purchasing plants to design a landscape. Needless to say, I'll be stopping by next time, each time I'm in Sonora. I might even need to start bringing a truck and/or a trailer... as my wife is not exactly thrilled with me filling the family wagon with plants...

... heres a couple pictures of my latest project that resulted from my shopping spree at Yard Improvements Nursery.... it's turned out Plantatstic, and all the neighbors are already complimenting my newest design and how healthy the plants I used are! I even have neighbors asking me to bring them back plants, too!

Wow, Wow, Wow!!! The nursery itself is like a display garden. Shop for plants and be inspired by the landscape and rock terraces that were created to display the nursery plants. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff, unique plants available and if they don't have it, be sure to ask. Owner is very knowledgeable and responsive to feedback and finding plants if they don't have them in stock. I can't say enough good things about this nursery and the staff. Go check it out for your self and help support this up and coming small business!

Top notch customer service! I can't say enough about how friendly, helpful, and kind these folks are. I followed the signs to their shaded parking area and was greeted and helped right away. I bought a few succulents and the gentleman helping me showed me several varieties they had on hand, he even carried my plants for me! The woman who checked me out also told me they can do special orders and she gave me all of their information, hours and phone number, before encouraging me to come by or call anytime. Originally I was going to go to the local big box store but I'm so glad I didn't! Prices were less than what I expected, I got more for my dollar, and I received outstanding customer service while supporting a local business. Really can't say enough about this outstanding nursery. 10 stars!
