We stayed for 3 nights. It's more like a b&b with a diy breakfast. Everything spotless, host helpful. Car parking fine. It's a car ride from town. Nothing within walking distance.

In short: Beyond expectations!
First, the location and accommodations are perfect. It’s like staying at your own home! Second, Mike and carol are phenomenal owners. They take care of you from check in to check out. Meals were homemade everyday. Third, rooms are clean and have everything you’ll need.
You’ll be happy to stay here.

We found this place by chance, and we were amazed at the facilities and the warmth and hospitality of the couple running the place. Great views from their veranda, fragrant tea is offered all the time and you feel at home immediately. They will cook tasty dinners and breakfasts for you if you wish. Oh, and the price is very reasonable. I would not miss this place.

Wonderful experience in a picturesque setting! I was visiting Homer last July as a base for a remote research trip and did not rent a car in Homer. Carol and Mike picked me up at the airport and drove me around to pick up supplies at the hardware store and grocery store and got me to my dock very early one morning to catch my water taxi. They offered these rides for a very reasonable fee, considering how much time it took them to shuttle me around. They were very conscientious of my safety and comfort, as they even lent me a can of bear spray to take camping and helped me make cookies for my research crew! They are very interesting people to talk to and make excellent, authentic Chinese food. I also really enjoyed the view from their home. I saw sandhill cranes with a chick and a cow moose with her calf, all from the back porch! They also have a spectacular view of the mountains at sunset. I will add these photos to my review soon.

Awesome hospitality and great food. Mike and Carol are great hosts. Don’t hesitate to book when you visit Homer. Their homemade salmon was awesome as was their other meals.

Coming in from a fishing trip later in evening, didn’t want to pay $200 for a place to sleep in Homer. Only $89 bucks at the Homerhome. ||||These folks have turned their lower floor into about four nice brand new rooms and two full baths. ||||Everything looks and is new.||||Price great for B-n-B. They’ll cook ya breakfast for $5. ||||Don’t let the outside picture fool you... they are insuring the guest area is absolutely perfect before they work on their own space on the main level. ||||Nice couple, kids are grown, left the hustle of career life in NYC ... now enjoying the Great Outdoors of Alaska and providing a good place for travelers to stay while visiting the Homer AK area. ||||Thanks folks ||||Scott & Noah ||Boerne, TX||2018

The couple that runs the place is amazing and very friendly!! My buddy and I got a room for 1 night with 2 twin beds and both were comfortable. Not the biggest room but for $50 less than all the other places around the area, definitely a great bargain and they offer convenient food and other amenities too.

Just a nice place to be. A very beautiful secret. We feel like we were at home. The food was more than very delicious. Mike and Carol are very nice, welcoming and friendly persons. We enjoyed our days at homershome so much.
We would go there once more.
