We had a wonderful time at the Gathering Place in Miner's cabin #3! A small, quaint cabin, it was all we needed to enjoy the beautiful Alaskan landscape! Our hosts were extremely welcoming, helpful, and inclusive (they invited us to join their campfire)! The washroom facilities were great and just a short walk up the hill. We would 100% recommend this place to anyone passing through Haines, especially if you are travelling on a budget. The cost per night was extremely affordable. Thank you, again, for being such wonderful hosts!

I absolutely love this place and would go back in a heart beat! The site has an amazing view of the fjord with an extremely reasonable price. It is close to town but a safe distance from wildlife. I was a little nervous as I'm an Irish female camping on my own but I felt really safe. Best of all the people who stayed there, and the owners Frank and Sherri were so welcoming and kind. Great place and great people! ❤️
