TL;DR - Overcharge for work not performed, damaged my property, didn't show up when needed.

I used J&J for their snow removal services 2yrs in a row. The first year, they were prompt, and did a really good job. However when the I melted, I saw they damaged the driveway in several places. They said they would patch the asphalt, and never did. The following fall, when I agreed to renew their services for the coming winter I reminded them about it, and they said That was last season, but they'd give me some credits on my account to make up for my time, and materials if I patched it myself. I received no credits. Then throughout this last winter ('22-'23) they either didn't show up at all, or took days to come by even for small amounts (2-4") of snow fall. And when we had 18+" drop, I understand, they couldn't be in too many places at once, but I have to go to work right? Apparently if you shovel your own driveway, they attempt to charge you for it. When I called them about it, they said that it was for a call-out, that someone still had to drive out there. I said there is nothing in the contract about not shoveling my own driveway, and nothing about call-out fees. Not only that, they were not charging me for a call-out fee, they charged me as if they had cleared the driveway themselves, full charge. This happened multiple times. Then from February until April, I never saw their trucks again, yet we did have snow and I ended up needing to clear it myself.

Positives; over the phone they were polite even if not helpful. I dealt with Jerry mostly but he was only able to do so much, as he's not the owner. The invoicing via email was very convenient.

When Jon’s crew arrived, we could barely get into our driveway after this last snow. His guys brought it down almost to the pavement. To make things better it didn’t break the bank. I Thoroughly recommend J & JL landscaping for anyone looking for a quality service at a great price. Thanks guys!

These guy came out on time! They got the job done exactly how I wanted it. I called on these guys from trash removal, appliance removal, lawn care and garden bed care. Unfinished work. Placed paver stones in front yard for steps and didn’t level them. From left to right they slope into house. Also used a belt sander to try to remove mortar, but scratched surface of stones, then tried to cover it up with stain. Two of the steps have facial stones under steps, while 3rd step has facial stop butted up level with the step. Won’t stand by “ Satisfaction Guarantee”. Actually told me if I wanted it fixed they’d have to charge me more money.
