Lauren at Modern by Miles was such a blessing! I hadn’t yet signed our contract when I called her with my first problem. She immediately jumped on it anyway. Needless to say, I officially hired her after that! Lauren helped my family and I with the build of our dream home. She is very detailed and thorough with each project. She truly wants her clients to be happy and as stress free as possible during the projects. Lauren was just as excited as me about each item we chose, and when steps were completed. It was like having a best friend to be there with you through the whole process! If I have any further projects, she will definitely be my first call!

I was trying to juggle with 2 kids and renovation, and I had some ideas but I didn’t know where to start. I wasn’t sure about working with someone randomly found on Instagram remotely, never met in person. But this was the best decision I ever made in this remodel project. Lauren is amazing!
She quickly moved to find a general contractor in my area who was reliable and affordable. She helped me in many ways, not only for design choices, but also for stress management when things were not going right. Of course, there are so many things that can go wrong when you are renovating. But Lauren was always there to support me, guide me, and calm me down.
She has a great eye for design and color. She sent me paint samples and helped me pick a good white along with cabinet color and flooring. She also nailed down drawer height customization and cabinet hardware orientation. She made sure everything was functional and beautiful.
She is very professional, friendly, and communicative. She always responded to my messages and calls promptly and patiently. She listened to my needs and preferences and respected my opinions. She also challenged me to try new things and be more creative. She taught me a lot about kitchen design and renovation.
She is more than a designer, she’s a friend. She cheered me up when I was feeling down or overwhelmed. She celebrated with me when I achieved a milestone or finished a task. She made me feel confident and happy about what I was doing.
I loved her service so much. She helped me transform my kitchen and my life. She made the whole process fun and enjoyable. She is the best kitchen design coach ever! I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs help with their kitchen renovation. I would definitely work with her again if I have another project. She is awesome!

Lauren & Karey were instrumental in the successful design, planning, & detailed selection process for our entire basement. At the same time, they completed room designs & furnishings for every single room in our new home. The breadth & depth of their knowledge regarding construction, designing, furnishing, & completing any and every space to fit our unique style was incredible & worth every penny. They were excellent at providing vision when we could not quite describe exactly what we wanted, always sent samples and multiple good options for us to choose from, and even visited stores personally before recommending furniture to be confident in the direction they gave us. They were very responsive, timely, transparent, and helpful about every single question from area rug sizing to roller shades to kids’ bedroom decor & bedding to statement furniture pieces to room layout and more. Our whole house fits the aesthetic & style we wanted but could not create on our own, and we owe it all to these designers. They transformed what started as a very stressful new construction project to a well planned & designed, thoroughly prepared layout with every single detail mapped out for our basement. We have loved every single item they recommended and have not been disappointed with any aspect of their service, guidance, wisdom, & design capabilities. We already plan to work with them before beginning construction on our future barn. We cannot thank them enough!
