Absolutely gorgeous shop! Friendly staff, everything was clean, organized, and clearly marked. The patterns, oh my gosh, they are unlike anything I’ve seen. Stunning. Bought a couple kits as holiday gifts, and their website is now saved in my favorites! You know the hypothetical question “what’s the first thing you would do if you won the lottery?” My new answer would be “visit northern threads”

I love Northern Threads' quilting department! I've had at least half a dozen quilts finished with them. The online order form is easy to fill out; and it gives you clear directions on how to mail your quilt to them. The quilt stitch choices are extensive, and you can choose your batting and thread color. The best part is the excellence of the work they do; my quilts are returned beautifully to me, with a very reasonable turn-around time. Thank you Northern Threads!

My order was shipped the same day and arrived in perfect condition, specially wrapped to protect all of the wonderful gifts enclosed. The chickadee pin cushion is so beautiful and so well made that I will definitely be ordering again! There’s a mushroom ? one that I have my eyes on! If you’re considering ordering from Northern Threads - you should!

*UPDATE* I have now been using the quilting services at Northern Threads for quite a while and want to give them a huge shout out for their wonderful work. They have a huge library of quilting designs, threads, battings & backings to choose from. The gals at Northern Threads gets your quilt finished & returned so fast it’s hard to believe. I highly recommend checking out their web site so you can figure their reasonable rates for your quilt then finish that top and get it sent to Fairbanks and let them work their magic on yours!

I love browsing at this store because I am always assured of finding a treasure or two. There have been no disappointments when opening the box; everything received looks just like it did online. Pricing and delivery are also very competitive. I find Marie Noah's patterns to be very inspiring, and i used six of her row pstterns when i put together this quilt for an Alaskan friend.

Northern Threads is my favorite quilt shop in Fairbanks. They have an amazing selection of quilt kits, row by row kits, and nice Alaskan fabrics. I highly recommend this place. My husband and I come here often. You can find such great quilt kits or row by row kits, very nice fabrics and a great selection of Alaskan fabrics too.

I love ordering from northern threads. It’s my go to place to look on line. When I do I just end up with more ideas and more fabric then I expect. I had an order that was out on deliver for over a month. Finally I got a call from a wonderful women at northern threads telling me they are replacing my original order since it’s not getting delivered. They were out of the one fabric I needed most so she gave me one that was in the same group. It was for a quilt for my grandson who had picked some of my stash and kinda told me how he wanted it.

Incredible service from this Alaska shop.... Had fallend in love with their Gnome kit; thought the beard would be a great thread painting project... also found a couple of panels... Northern Lights and Owl that I will do this winter... The entire order came SUPER fast via ordinary mail. This Gnome is a great hit...Hanging here as part of Christmas/ Winter Decor..
